The Red Wings rallied for five in the top of the 10th and did all they could to let the Bison back into the game but fell short for 10-7 win. OK, fine: Up until the 10th, the Rochester bullpen was terrific, with four pitchers combining for five and a 1/3rd scoreless innings. Starter Joan Adon was not, allowing five runs on eight hits and four walks over three and 2/3rds. Alberto Baldonado picked up the win after working around a hit in the 9th. The Red Wings cashed in on nine walks and four errors to score 10 times on 10 hits. Darren Baker led the hit column with three singles and four RBI while Derek Hill reached base four times on a single and three walks. Roster moves: UT Jake Alu optioned from Washington.

Harrisburg was shut out for the fourth time this season, 6-0 on six hits. Alemao Hernandez turned in five innings of two-run ball with three hits, three walks, and one whiff. He was rewarded with the loss. Malvin Peña put up two goose eggs then turned it over to Evan Lee in the 8th. Lee loaded the bases with two walks an a Victor Robles. Orlando Ribalta let ’em all in and one of his own on a two-run double and a two-run single. Leonel Valera and Robert Hassell both singled twice, J.T. Arruda singled once, and Jack Dunn doubled to round out the Sens’ hit column.

Chance Huff got bounced in the second inning as the BlueClaws got five runs on seven hits off him and the Blue Rocks en route to a 9-4 win. Huff walked two and struck out two while losing his second game. Jaren Zinn was the sole Wilmington reliever to not allow a run as the other three combined to allow four runs. Viandel Peña reached base four times on three singles and a walk while Erick Mejia homered, singled, and walked to lead the 12-hit parade by the Blue Rocks batters.

The fireworks started early in Fredericksburg, with both Development Coach Carmelo Jaime and Manager Jake Lowery and getting tossed and Jaime channeling Butch Hobson (pictured above) in the 6th. After order was restored, the FredNats erased a 1-0 deficit to go up 2-1 and got four scoreless innings to prevail by the same score.
Riley Cornelio went the first five, allowing the Fireflies run on two hits and three walks while striking out six. Jose Atencio and Tyler Yankosky both issued a walk while pitching two no-hit innings to earn the win and save, respectively. Daylen Lile getting picked off for the second out of the 6th led to the ejections, but four straight singles by Paul Witt, Brady House, Sammy Infante, and Elijah Green plated the tying and go-ahead runs with Infante and Green each collecting an RBI. The win stopped a three-game slide.
