Rochester dug out from a 3-0 hole with a three-run 5th, added two in the 6th to take the lead, and capped it off with an insurance run in the 7th to take the game, 6-4 and the series, 5-1. O.G. Paolo Espino picked up his third win with a yeoman’s effort of three runs on four hits and three walks over five innings. Jordan Weems stranded the tying runs getting the final out in the 8th, then worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his fifth save. Nomara Mazara led the Red Wings’ 12-hit parade with two singles and a double, followed by two safeties apiece by Carter Kieboom and Derek Hill.

After opening the series with three straight wins, the Senators closed it out with three straight losses, the last by shutout, 3-0. Alex Troop gave up a run on a home run and three hits total over five innings, walking three and striking out three. He was rewarded with his fourth loss. The Fightins knocked down the first two relievers for a run apiece before Odalvi Javier put up a goose egg in the 8th. Alas, it was for naught as the Harrisburg offense went 0-for-7 with RISP, including two double plays that erased leadoff singles in the 7th and 8th innings. Terone Harris and Donovan Casey were the only two batters to reach base twice, both going 1-for-3 with a walk.

Dustin Saenz dominated Hudson Valley again, blanking the Renegades for five innings on one hit without issuing a walk while striking out seven. The problem was that he didn’t start. Instead, it was rehabbing Jackson Tetreault, who made his second appearance and “worked on some things” for seven runs, eight hits, two walks, over two and 2/3rds in an 8-4 loss. The trio of Trey Lipscomb, Will Frizzell, and Leandro Emiliani combined to go 6-for-12 with two runs scored, a double (Emiliani), a homer (Lipscomb), and four RBI.
