The Red Wings led briefly 1-0 and 3-2 but were eventually pantsed, 5-4 to lose for the third time in four games. Franklyn Kilome was a late change as the starter and gave up all five Toledo runs on nine hits (one HR) and two walks over four-plus innings. The Rochester ‘pen turned in five shutout innings but the offense was only able to push across one more run on Donovan Casey’s seventh HR as the Red Wings hit (or ran) into four double plays. Andrew Stevenson led the way with a double, a homer, two runs scored, and an RBI.

Richmond jumped on Harrisburg for three runs in the 1st and held on for a 4-2 win. Ronald Herrera recovered from the early surge to pitch into 6th with all four Flying Squirrels allowed on seven hits and three walks. He struck out three while losing for the ninth time. SSDL: The Sens ‘pen held down the fort the rest of the way but the offense was held to singles in the 7th and the 9th. Wilson Garcia hit his 20th HR to pull into a three-way tie for the organization lead with Omar Meregildo and Joey Meneses.

Five Wilmington pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout as the Blue Rocks won in extras, 1-0. Evan Lee made his third rehab appearance as the starter, allowing three hits and a Victor Robles over two innings. The win went to Amos Willingham with two goose eggs in the 8th and 9th while Orlando Ribalta set the side down in order in the 10th for his first A+ save. Cody Wilson plated the sole run of the game with his second single with one out in the 10th, a feat matched by Cole Daily two batters later on two-out bunt single.

Fredericksburg was reminded that solar expression cannot be limited to the same canine as Delmarva took this one, 3-2 to end a 12-game drought against its divisional rival. Andry Lara turned his fifth quality start with six innings of one-run ball on three hits, two walks, and three hit batsmen. He struck out six. The loss went to Marquis Grissom Jr. as he gave up two runs in the 8th on three straight one-out hits. The FredNats got the tying run into scoring position with one out in the 9th but neither Branden Boisserie nor Geraldi Diaz were able to deliver the equalizer.
