After Rochester halved the lead from 4-0 to 4-2 in the top of the 6th, Buffalo responded with a six-run stampede for a 10-2 win. Franklyn Kilome started and was knocked out in the 3rd with two runs charged on two hits and five walks. Alex Troop finished the inning, letting in one of two inherited runners. Ronald Herrera’s first AAA appearance since 2019 did little to suggest he was ready as the 27-y.o. was lit up for five runs over two-plus innings. The Red Wings’ offense was limited to four hits and four walks and may have been shut out as both runs came on RBI groundouts after a HBP, a single, and an error put two runners in scoring position. The aforementioned single was the 10th straight game in which Jake Alu had a hit.
