Rochester won for the fourth time in five games, 4-1. Logan Verrett turned in his sixth quality start to win his sixth game, allowing a run on five hits and nmo walks while striking out five. A trio of relievers each put up a goose egg. Will Harris and Mason Thompson both earned a hold while Jordan Weems worked around a walk in the 9th to get his 13th save. Daniel Johnson singled, doubled, and drove in two to lead the four-hit, four-walk offense.

Jersey Shore scored single runs in the 1st and 3rd and made it stand up for a 2-1 win over Wilmington. Rodney Theophile suffered again from wildness as he walked four and hit a batter over two-plus innings, needing 57 pitches to get six outs. He allowed both BlueClaws runs on two hits. Three relievers combined for six scoreless innings, with Andrew Alvarez allowing one of three inherited runners to score while getting out of the 3rd. Ricardo Méndez doubled and scored on a two-out single by Viandel Peña in the 2nd. Méndez later singled in the 4th for the third and final Wilmington hit.

The FredNats broke open a 4-3 game with a five-run 7th as they declawed the Hillcats, 10-4 in the series opener. Miguel Atencio got the start and let in one run on three hits and two walks over four innings. Bryan Peña was the pitcher of record when Fredericksburg took the lead but gave up two runs on two hits and a walk over an inning and 2/3rds. Trey Lipscomb had his third multihit game in five games with two singles and a double while Will Frizzell extended his hit streak to six games with his fifth HR in the past 10 days.

The F-Nats dropped another 3-2 decision to the F-Cards to see their lead over the F-Mets fall to one game. Jarlin Susana made his second appearance as an F-Nat and struck out five of 14 batters faced, giving up three hits and two walks over three and a 1/3rd scoreless innings. Adrian Ogando had his second blown-save-loss in as many appearances as he allowed all three F-Cards runs on three hits and four walks over two and 2/3rds innings. Luicius Fox singled twice and walked once while Erick Tejeda went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

The D-Nats scored in four consecutive innings before the rains mercifully shortened this 13-6 smackdown to seven innings. Bryan Polanco muddled through the first four innings with four runs let in on three hits and three walks while striking out four. The win went to Ramon Cuevas, with a run allowed on three hits over an inning and 2/3rds. 17-y.o. Jorgelys Mota singled twice, homered, scored four times, drove in three, stole a base, jumped to the left, grounded into a double play, twisted to the right, and committed an error.
