Editor’s note: The matchups above are based on last Wednesday’s starters if the information was not available in Sunday’s press notes.

Rochester Red Wings, 53-64, 8th place, 13GB
Rochester split its series last week with Worcester and now heads west to Indianapolis for six, including a day game tomorrow. The Red Wings have not won a series since taking four of six against the Bison on May 30-June 5.
Roster moves: C Tres Barrera optioned from Washington.

Harrisburg Senators, 14-30, 6th place, 14½ GB (44-69 overall)
Senators won just one of five against the Curve to reduce their tragic number to 11. They’re still within striking distance of the Flying Squirrels for fifth place, which is where the Senators finished in the first half. This week, Erie comes to City Isle for the final series against Harrisburg.

Wilmington Blue Rocks, 23-25, 4th place, 4½ GB (58-55 overall)
The Blue Rocks split against the Blue Claws last week and will have a divided homestand again this week with the IronBirds, beginning with three on the road before returning home for three this weekend. The last three series of the season are against the very three teams ahead of them in the second-half standings.

Fredericksburg Nationals, 29-18, 1st place, 2½ GA (62-51 overall)
If Fredericksburg doesn’t collapse like the team below them on the organizational ladder, last week’s split against Lynchburg was a preview of the 2022 CLDS, which has been reduced to three games vs. five in years past. This week the third-place Wood Ducks come to town for their one and only visit this season.

FCL Nationals 15 FCL Mets 9
• Agostini 3⅓ IP, 2H, 3R, 2ER, 4BB, 5K
• Zinn (W, 1-0) 1IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, 1K
• Klassen 1-3, 3R, 2B, 2BB, 2RBI
• Cox 2-5, BB, RBI, SB
• Suggs 1-3, R, HBP, 3RBI

The F-Nats sent 15 men to the plate in the 5th and eleven of them scored as the F-Nats sucked less than the F-Mets, 15-9 to stay mathematically alive (presumably; for all we know, the F-Mets hold the tiebreaker and this didn’t matter). Gabriel Agostini got the start and was dinged for three runs (two earned) on two hits and four walks while striking out five. The win went to Jaren Zinn for a scoreless top of the 5th. Blake Klassen reached base three times and scored three times with a double, two walks, and two RBI while Brenner Cox singled twice, walked once, drove in one, and stole a base. The F-Nats took advantage of nine walks, three hit batsmen, and four errors to score 15 times on eight hits.

DSL TEX Red 8 DSL Nationals 6
• Rivas (L, 0-6) 3⅓ IP, 8H, 7R, 5ER, 0BB, 1K, HR, HBP, WP
• R. Cuevas 2⅔ IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 2K, 1-0 IR-S
• D. Martinez 2-3, 3B, 2RBI
• Vaquero 1-3, R, 2BB, SB
• W. Diaz 2-5, 2B

The D-Nats never led this one as the D-TEX Red squad held a 3-0 lead after one, a 4-1 lead after two, and a 7-2 lead after four en route to an 8-6 win. Gustavo Rivas lost for the sixth time in 10 appearances as he was roughed up for seven runs on eight hits (one HR) over three and a 1/3rd innings. Dawry Martinez singled, tripled, and drove in two while Crithian Vaquero singled, walked twice, scored once, and stole his 17th base.
