Rochester Red Wings, 47-52, T5th, I.L. East
The Red Wings are in the midst of an 11-game losing streak and a stretch of 16-34 since Memorial Day. Yesterday, SS Ildemaro Vargas became the first escapee (well, maybe) as he was called up to D.C. to take the place of SS Ehire Adrianza, who was traded to the Braves yesterday for OF Trey Harris.
Harrisburg Senators 10-17, 5th place, E.L. Southwest (40-56 overall)
Harris was assigned from the Mississippi Braves to the Harrisburg Senators. Thus far, there are no corresponding moves. This week, the Sens return to City Isle to host the BaySox for six after splitting their road series against the RubberDucks last week.
Wilmington Blue Rocks, 15-15, 5th Place, Sally Lg. North (50-45 overall)
The Blue Rocks’ homestand continues for three more games as they host the first three of this week’s series against the IronBirds. Thus far, the position-player callups from Fredericksburg have struggled, with Jeremy De La Rosa posting a.592 OPS (though he has stolen nine bases), Leandro Emiliani at .487, and Junior Martina at .587.
Fredericksburg Nationals, 21-8, 1st Place, 7GA, C.L. North (54-41)
Bolstered by some of the AARP brigade veterans from the FCL and two young guns on the mound, Fredericksburg has not lost a step despite losing two of its best players on offense. This week, the FredNats travel to Kinston to play the second-place Down East Wood Ducks for six.

Gabriel Agostini lost the no-hitter, the shutout, and the lead as F-Cards pecked him for three in the 4th. After a little-league homer by Erick Tejeda (triple and an error) tied in the 6th, the F-Nats lost it in the 8th when Eris Flipo was unable to throw out the runner at the plate when the ball was hit to him with two on and runners at the corners. Armando Cruz led the F-Nats with two singles and a double followed by Tejeda with a double and triple.

With three runs scoring via wild pitch (out of six total) and four stolen bases without being caught, the D-Nats got four runs on just three hits in a 4-3 win over D-Miami. Edward Duran, the catcher for D-Miami, does not appear to be related to Raudy Read.
