A four-run 4th by the (ugh) Woo Sox broke open a 2-1 as they tripled up the Red Wings, 9-3. Franklyn Kilome was knocked from box with two out in the fateful frame, with six runs allowed on five hits (two HRs) and four walks. He struck out eight while losing his fourth AAA game. John Nlogowski singled, doubled, walked, and drove in two while Josh Palacios singled and doubled to lead the Rochester offense.

Harrisburg had leads of 4-0 and 5-4 before Altoona struck for three extra-base hits in the 7th to send the Senators to their third straight loss, 6-5. Alex Troop went the first six and let in four runs on eight hits (one HR) and two walks while striking out four. Reid Schaller struck out two, but in between the K’s he gave up a homer, a double, and a triple for the blown-save-loss. Israel Pineda reached base four times with two singles, a walk, and a double to push his BA to .300 while Anthony Young and Darren Baker both single, doubled, and scored a run to lead the Senators offense.

The Blue Rocks didn’t follow the script for Friday night and rallied for three in the 4th and – get this – held the lead for a 4-1 win over the BlueClaws. Lucas Knowles turned in his second quality start and won his sixth game (third as a starter) with six innings of one-run ball on two hit and two walks while fanning five. Zach Burdi, Amos Willingham, and Jack Sinclair each put up a goose egg with Burdi and Willingham earning holds and Sinclair getting the save. Viandel Peña delivered twice in RISP chances with an RBI single in the 2nd and two-run triple in the 4th to Wilmington’s ten-hit parade.

Lynchburg dropped a three-spot on Fredericksburg to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead and held on for the 4-3 win. Bryan Caceres gave up four runs on six hits (two HR) and no walks while setting down five on strikes. It was the 10th time he had given up four or more runs in 20 appearances, but also the 16th time he had pitched five or more innings. Jacob Young, who leads MiLB and MLB in runs scored with 99 (H/T FredNats PR), scored twice while reach base four times on three singles and a walk and stole base nos. 43 and 44 to lead the FredNats offense.

The F-Nats dropped their fourth straight decision and into second place with a 3-0 loss to the F-Marlins. Evan Lee got the start and tossed two scoreless innings, a feat matched by the first two relievers, Nick Pogue and Kyle Luckham. Johan Otanez extended that streak to seven before issuing two walks and two singles to load the bases in the 8th, with a runner caught stealing and a fielder’s choice to preserve the 0-0 tie. Kevin Rodriguez hit the first batter he faced then gave up a two-run single, which pinned the “L” on Otanez. The F-Nats blasted the F-Marlins with three singles and drew three walks and left on all six baserunners while going 0-for-3 with RISP.

A few hundred miles to the southeast, the D-Nats dropped their third straight to fall under .500 with a 6-4 loss to D-Tampa Bay. Randy Lara went the first four, giving up four runs on five hits (one HR) and five walks while setting down four on strikes. The loss went to Ronni Montero as he was charged with an unearned run on a wild pitch in the 6th. Juan Garcia drove in two with a single while Jenier Fernandez tripled as the D-Nats took advantage of a hit-by-pitch, a passed ball, and seven walks to score four times on just four hits.
