The Red Wings battled back from a 4-0 deficit to pull within one at 5-4 before the Indians dropped an eight-spot in the 4th and cruised to a 14-4 win. Joan Adon didn’t make it to the 4th inning for the third straight start, giving up five runs on six hits and three walks over three innings. He was charged with his second AAA loss. Andrew Stevenson, Luis García, and Jake Alu each went 2-for-4 to lead the Rochester offense.

All the Sens runs came on the home run in a 5-2 Harrisburg win over Erie. Seth Romero returned to City Isle noticeably lighter on both the radar gun and around the middle but struck out five of seven batters faced with some nifty breaking balls. He threw 37 pitches, 23 for strikes over two innings. Gerardo Carrillo gave up a run on a walk followed by a triple to blow the 2-1 lead in the top of the 6th. He was taken off the hook with Wilson Garcia’s Earl Weaver special (#18) in the bottom of the 6th. Bryan Gonzalez and Zach Brzykcy combined for three scoreless to close it out, earning the hold and the save respectively. Andrew Young got the party started with a two-run HR (#9) in the 1st.

The Blue Rocks fell two outs shy of notching their eighth shutout but settled for a 3-1 win over the IronBirds. Lucas Knowles pitched into the 7th for the first in his career, allowing just three hits, no walks, and fanning five. Amos Willingham stranded two while finishing the 7th then gave way with two out in the 8th to Jose Ferrer, who lost the shutout on a solo HR in the 9th. Knowles picked up his 7th win, Willingham got his 5th hold, and Ferrer was credited with his 9th A+ save. Justin Connell led the hit column with two singles and a double while Drew Millas drove in two with a 3rd-inning single and added a double in the 6th, plated by Cody Wilson.

A three-run 9th by the Wood Ducks put the game out of reach as Down East tripled up Fredericksburg, 6-2. Bryan Caceres, who leads the Nats minors in IP with 106⅓, turned in another five with three runs allowed on five hits (two HR) and three walks while striking out three. He would lose his eighth game. J.T. Arruda broke up the shutout bid with a solo shot in the 8th while Christopher De La Cruz drew a bases-loaded walk in the 9th to account for the two FredNats, as they struggled to an 0-for-9 mark with RISP and left on eight baserunners.
