After winning four of five, Rochester has reverted to the mean with its second straight walkoff loss, 9-8, to Worcester. Joan Adon did little to dissuade the notion that he was rushed through the system, giving up three runs on four hits and five walks over four innings with one (1) strikeout. This despite the offense giving him a 5-0 lead after one and a 7-2 lead after three. Mason Thompson handed over his beer with three runs charged on two hits and two walks across the 8th and 9th innings for his second blown save and third loss. The meltdown wasted a 13-hit effort with no beer man, including 7-for-12 with RISP and just six runners left on base.

The Sens erased deficits of 2-0 and 4-3 to take a 5-4 lead but got bent by the Curve on a walk-off, three-run HR for an 8-5 loss. Jake Irvin notched his 16th no-decision in 20 starts with five innings pitched, four runs allowed on six hits (two HRs) and two walks while striking out five. The loss went to Edgar García on two singles and the aforementioned HR in the 9th. Israel Pineda singled three times and drove in two while Darren Baker reached base three times with a single, double, and a walk to pace the Harrisburg offense.

Wilmington never led and tied only once as Jersey Shore edged them again, 3-2, to take a 2-1 series lead. Dustin Saenz took the loss with three runs lets in on six hits (one HR), no walks, and five strikeouts over five innings. A trio of relievers each put up a goose egg, combining for seven K’s but the offense was limited to five hits and one walk. Jeremy De La Rosa (1B, 2B) and Kevin Strohschein (1B, BB) were the only two Blue Rocks batters to reach base while Leandro Emiliani was the only batter not strike out as the team kept the BlueClaws IFs cool with 14 whiffs.

The FredNats and Hillcats battled to a 0-0 tie through six and a half innings before Lynchburg struck for two and held on for a 2-0 win, breaking a three-game win streak for Fredericksburg. Andry Lara went six full innings for the fifth time and came away with a no-decision for the fifth time (11th overall) with no runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven. After getting a flyout to start the 7th, Holden Powell hit a batter, moved him to second on an errant pickoff, walked a batter, then gave up a two-run double to take the loss. Christopher De La Cruz singled and doubled while Branden Boisserie singled and walked to account for three of five Fredericksburg hits and both FredNats walks.

The F-Nats dropped their third straight and into a first-place tie with the F-Mets with a 13-4 defenestration by the F-Marlins. Bryan Sanchez started and was hooked for three runs on five hits and two walks over two innings for his second loss. Elijah Green went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, and a run scored while Caleb Farmer harvested two singles in three trips to the field plate.
