Three Red Wings pitchers combined to shut out the IronPigs, 5-0, on five hits. Cade Cavalli didn’t walk a batter for the first time this season while going seven frames for the third time as he picked up his fourth win. Hunter Harvey and Alberto Baldonado both added a goose egg. Jake Noll doubled in one and homered for two more while Joey Meneses drove in the other Rochester run on his fourth single to pace the Red Wings’ offense.

A change of level didn’t matter as Erie plundered Josh Rogers in a 7-0 shutout of Harrisburg. Rogers coughed up three HRs…Forrest Gump pause…again, accounting for five of the six runs he allowed on eight hits and a walk over four innings. Of course, it was a moot point as the Senators mustered just three hits – a pair of doubles by Jake Alu, and a single by Jack Dunn – and did not draw a walk.

The Blue Rocks blew leads of 4-0 and 5-3 to get taken to extras where the Dash gave it away in the 10th, 7-5. Tim Cate gave up a three-run HR and three hits total over four innings. He walked two and struck out one in the no-decision. Jose Ferrer tossed two scoreless in the 8th and 9th for the win while Jack Sinclair struck out the side in the 10th for the save. Winston-Salem turned a would-be sacrifice by Ricardo Méndez into a Little League double to score the free runner and push the runner from first to third with ease, though Méndez gave it back by getting thrown out between second and third. Israel Pineda doubled in the second run with his third hit for the final Blue Rocks run.

Fredericksburg’s eight-game winning streak came to an end with a 5-1 loss to Lynchburg. Bryan Caceres failed to go four innings for the first time in 13 starts, as he lost for the fourth time. He was dinged for four runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks, hit two batters, and struck out two. Steven Williams reached base three times with a single, homer, and a walk while Jeremy La Rosa collected the third hit for the FredNats. The rest of the lineup went 0-for-22 with four walks.
