With runners on first and second and two out, Rudy Martin loaded up on a single to right for an apparent throw home but instead lost the handle and spiked it into the outfield grass, enabling both runs to score. He would get his shot at redemption (but no photo opportunity) with the tying run on second and two out in the 9th but struck to end the game. Gilbert Lara drove in Brady Lindsly for the Sens’ one run, cashing in the one extra-base hit with the one hit in nine RISP chances.
