Worcester got four in the 1st and a solo HR in the 8th which proved to be the difference in a 5-4 win over Rochester. It was the 17th loss in the last 25 games for the Red Wings. Cory Abbott lost for the third time in four starts, giving up four unearned runs on five hits over four innings. He walked none and fanned four. Sterling Sharp allowed the HR and five hits total over four innings of relief. Andrew Stevenson singled, tripled, and drove in a run while Taylor Gushue doubled in the last two Red Wings runs, which was the one hit in eight RISP chances on the night.

The Senators were shut out for the fourth time this season, 6-0, on two hits. Ronald Herrera took the loss, his fourth, with two runs let in on a two-run HR and two hits total over four innings. Jake Alu was the sole batter to reach base twice as he walked in the 4th and doubled in the 6th to break up the no-hitter. Gilbert Lara collected the only other hit with a single in the 8th.

Wilmington left on 10 men and had but one hit in nine RISP chances as Jersey Shore greased by, 3-1. Seth Shuman tossed five innings of two-run ball on five hits and four walks and four strikeouts. He was rewarded with his second loss. Israel Pineda singled twice and drove in the sole run with a one-out single in the 6th. Drew Mendoza and Yasel Antuna also reached base twice with a single and a walk as the Blue Rocks tallied eight hits and drew five walks.

The FredNats busted out for seven in the 7th to take their fifth straight, 9-2 over the Shorebirds. Mason Denaburg gave up a homer and three hits total over the first four innings. He walked none and fanned four. Marc Davis blanked Delmarva over the next four frames, allowing just one hit and striking out three to pick up the win. Jacob Young was the beer man, though he did draw one of two walks, as Fredericksburg marched to a 12-hit parade, with the bottom third of the order combining for six hits, four runs, and three RBI.

The F-Nats built leads of 7-1 and 9-2 before nearly blowing it with a six-run 7th. Alas, they put down the beer and held on for a 10-9 win over the F-Cards. Bryan Sanchez got the start and went one and 2/3rds scoreless, allowing two hits and a walk without a whiff. For some reason, Johan Otanez was ruled the most effective reliever with seven runs allowed over two-plus innings for the “W” while Karlo Seijas closed it out with a run over three innings for the save. Christopher De La Cruz reached base three times with a walk, a single, and a double while Roismar Quintana singled, doubled, and scored two runs to lead the F-Nats offense.

The D-Nats rallied from deficits of 4-0 and 5-4 to tie and win in the 9th, 6-5 over the D-Jays. Randy Lara got the start but was pummeled for four runs on three hits (one HR) and two walks over two and a 1/3 innings. He struck out six. Doimil Perez picked up the win with a scoreless 9th. Crithian Vaquero singled twice, walked, and drove in two while Jenier Fernandez walked, doubled, and drove in a run to pace the D-Nats attack.
