The Red Wings nearly wasted nine shutout innings of pitching before pushing across two in the 10th for a 2-0 win and a series split. Logan Verrett tossed seven scoreless innings, with three hits, no walks, and four K’s. Patrick Murphy got the next five outs (three by way of the K) before giving way to Matt Cronin, who struck out the IronPigs southpaw first baseman to end the 9th. Adrián Sanchez broke up the Star Trek convention with a one-out single in the top of the 10th while Josh Palacios sent in Sanchez with his third hit and Rochester’s fifth double. Cronin finished up with three flyouts in the 10th to earn the win, his second at AAA.
Roster moves: RHP Joan Adon optioned from Washington; RHP Hunter Harvey MLB Rehab ended, recalled to Washington.

Harrisburg rallied from 5-0 to walk off in the series, 6-5, and win back-to-back games for the first time in two weeks. Luis Reyes dug a 4-0 hole on a pair of two-run HRs in the 1st but made it through five innings, giving up five hits, two walks, and striking out four. The “W” went to Andrew Lee, who tossed a 1-2-3 ninth. John Nogowski smacked a grand slam in the 7th to pull the Sens within one while a Justin Connell sac fly tied the game and Wilson Garcia flyball fell between two Erie OFs trying to catch it on the run and make a play at the plate, but instead, it went for a game-winning single.

The Blue Rocks also fell into a deep hole early but were unable to dig out, losing 9-3 to split the series with the Dash. Michael Cuevas saw his streak of three straight starts of six or more innings stopped as he was smoked out by Winston-Salem after four innings pitched. He gave up seven runs on five hits and three walks while fanning four. Wilmington was unable to take advantage of six walks issued as they went 1-for-12 with RISP and left on nine base runners. Yasel Antuna and Darren Baker both singled twice to account for four of the five hits. The fifth hit was Israel Pineda’s 15th double.

Fredericksburg closed out the series with a 7-2 win to take the series, 5-1 from Lynchburg. Dustin Saenz pitched into the 7th for the first time in his career while winning his fourth game of the season. He let in one run on two hits and two walks while setting down four on strikes. Jacob Young homered and scored three runs while registering his sixth three-hit game of the season. Jeremy De La Rosa also went deep while driving in two and going 2-for-5.

FCL Nationals 16-7, 2½ GA, FCL East
The F-Nats are riding an eight-game winning streak to open up a 2½ game lead over the F-Marlins in the FCL East. This week, it’s one more against the F-Astros Orange, two against the F-Astros Blue, then a pair against the F-Cards.

DSL Nationals 12-12, 5GB, DSL South
The D-Nats dropped to .500 with a 2-3 week last week and are now five games off the pace in the DSL South. This week, it’s seven over six days, including two against the D-Mariners today and tomorrow, and a rainout-makeup doubleheader vs. the D-Twins on Wednesday.
