The Woo Sox went deep four times to build an 8-0 lead – big enough to withstand a six-run Red Wings rally in the 7th and hold on for an 8-6 win. Josh Rogers took the brunt of the beating, allowing seven runs on three homers and four hits total over three and 2/3rds. He walked two and struck out two. Jefry Rodriguez gave up the fourth HR, a solo shot in the 8th, and four hits total over four and a 1/3rd without a walk and four whiffs. Nick Banks doubled and homered and drove in two while Ildemaro Vargas singled twice to lead the Rochester offense, which squeezed six runs out of seven hits, two walks, and an error.

Harrisburg blew a 2-0 lead in the 6th but opened the Book of Genesis on Altoona in the 7th, scoring seven times in the big inning for a 9-3 win. Steven Fuentes survived six walks and a Victor Robles over five innings to let in just one run and nearly won anyway. Reid Schaller failed to hold the lead for the third time in four chances this season, giving up two runs in his single inning of work. He was credited with the “W” as the pitcher of record when the Senators rallied. Wilson Garcia drove in two while leading the Harrisburg hit column with three, followed by Jackson Cluff with a single and a triple (one RBI), and Gilbert Lara with two singles and three RBI.

The Blue Rocks fell in line with the night’s narrative of late-inning rallies, scoring twice in the 6th and thrice in the 7th in a 7-4 win over the Blue Claws. Mitchell Parker let in the first three runs on three hits (one HR) and four walks over five innings. He struck out seven. Carlos Romero picked up the win a run over three innings while Jose Ferrer set the side down in order in the 9th for his fifth save at High-A. Kevin Strohschein and Ricardo Méndez both went 2-for-4 with two RBI to lead the Wilmington offense.

Jeremy De La Rosa’s two-run HR in the 8th completed a comeback from 4-0 after four and helped force extras, where Fredericksburg won, 5-4 in 10 innings. FredNats starter Bryan Caceres gave up all four Shorebird runs on seven hits and four walks over six innings. He fanned five. Marlon Perez led the bullpen trio that shut down Delmarva for four innings, with Riggs Threadgill picking up the win for a scoreless 10th inning. The FredNats lost the free runner on a 6-5 putout to start the 10th but got the leadoff batter to third on a groundout and a wild pitch. Steven Williams drove in the gamewinner with a two-out single.
