Rochester Red Wings (40-32, T2nd, 1½ GB, I.L. East)
Rochester broke even last week against 9th place Syracuse, which might not be so bad considering the stAAAArting pitching and relievers riding the D.C. shuttle. The Red Wings’ 12-game homestand continues this week with six against the (ugh) Woo Sox, including a Thursday afternoon start.
Roster moves: LHP Francisco Perez optioned from Washington; LHP Sam Clay recalled to Washington.
Harrisburg Senators (30-39, 5th place, 10GB, E.L. Southwest)
The Senators only won twice last week but made those “W’s” count as they denied the RubberDucks the first-half title with a seven-run 9th inning rally on Saturday and a 7-3 win on Sunday. Harrisburg heads east to play Altoona for six this week for their last 12-game road trip of the season.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (1-2, T3rd, 2GB, Sally Lg. North – 36-32 overall)
Wilmington took four of six against Aberdeen, which won the first half by 7½ games. This week, it’s six against the BlueClaws – just the second series this season against the Phillies’ High-A affiliate.
Fredericksburg Nationals (2-1, T2nd, 1GB, C.L. North – 35-34 overall)
The FredNats missed the first-half title by a single game, though it should be noted that three teams in the C.L. South had better records than the division-winning Hillcats [insert N.L. Central remark here]. Fredericksburg returns home to face Delmarva for the third of five series this season.

A five-run 7th did in the F-Nats as they dropped a 9-3 decision to the F-Astros Orange. Hunter Harvey emerged from witness protection (or PT) to toss a scoreless inning in the 1st. The loss went to Pablo Aldonis, who gave up all five runs on two hits and three walks over three and 2/3rd innings while fanning six. The F-Nats were limited to six hits and four walks, including doubles by Paul Witt and Roismar Quintana.

The D-Nats barely avoided a shutout by the D-Pit Gold squad, losing by a 3-1 score. Raynel Moron went the first five and gave up all three DPG runs on six white and two walks. He struck out three and hit two batters. Misael Mojica collected both D-Nats hits while Crithian Vaquero drew the one (1) walk.
