The Saints scored eight times in the 1st en route to a 12-2 crucifixion of the Red Wings in Game Two. Sterling Sharp retired just one of eight batters faced as he allowed seven runs (six earned) on five hits and a walk for this second loss of the season. Donovan Casey ended the shutout bid with his 6th HR to lead off the 3rd while Joey Meneses went deep for the 14th time two outs later. Casey later singled again in the 5th while newcomer Ildemaro Vargas started the Rochester four-hit onslaught with a single in the 2nd.

Bowie scored three times in the 6th to break a 1-1 tie and held on for a 4-2 win over Harrisburg. Franklyn Kilome gave up all four BaySox runs on seven hits and a walk over five-plus innings for his second loss. The Senators opened the 7th with back-to-back-to-back singles to score one run and put the tying runs on base. A flyout and a walk loaded the bases but Wilson Garcia grounded into a double play to end the game. Harrisburg collected seven singles by seven different batters and drew three walks: two by Jack Dunn, one by Jake Alu.

The Senators broke a four-game losing streak in the nightcap as they tripled up the BaySox, 6-2. Carson Teel got the spot start and dealt three scoreless innings with three hits and no walks and two strikeouts. Curtis Taylor picked up the win in relief with two perfect innings. Wilson Garcia doubled, homered, and drove in two while Justin Connell singled twice and plated two to lead the Harrisburg offense.

Rome built a 3-0 lead in the 1st and that proved to be enough for a 3-1 win over Wilmington. Seth Shuman gave up all three Braves runs on eight hits (one HR) and a walk over five innings to lose his first game. Three relievers combined for three scoreless to shut down Rome, but the Blue Rocks were barely able to end the shutout, which came on an RBI double off the bat of Omar Meregildo in the 6th. José Sánchez singled twice to lead the Wilmington hit column, none of which came in seven scoring chances and left six runners on base.
Fredericksburg 7 Lynchburg 5 – GAME ONE

The FredNats scored in each of the first three innings to build a 7-0 lead and held on for a 7-5 win in the opener. Mason Denaburg got knocked from the box in the 3rd, letting in three runs on three hits (one HR) and three walks. Riggs Threadgill stranded three for Denaburg and pitched a scoreless 4th to earn the win. T.J. White blasted a pair of two-run HRs while Jeremy De La Rosa reappeared to single twice and score a run as Fredericksburg collected nine hits total.
Fredericksburg vs. Lynchburg – GAME TWO
Ironically, because there was a doubleheader last night, Fredericksburg and Lynchburg were able to get one in before the rains came when they would have been playing if it had been just a single game. They’ll try again tonight for two.

A two-out error gave the D-Twins an extra out in the 5th and they exploited it to turn a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 lead (and win) over the D-Nats. Gustavo Rivas took the loss with all five D-Twins runs (two earned) let in on eight hits and a walk while striking out four. Newcomer Misael Mojica hit his first professional HR and drove in two to lead the D-Nats attack.
