Rochester vs. Buffalo – PPD
They pulled the plug on this one about three hours before first pitch after the field was deemed unplayable after heavy rain. They’ll make it up with a twi-night doubleheader on Saturday. Tomorrow night, Stephen Strasburg is expected to make his third rehab start.

The Senators ‘pen faltered late, giving up a two-out RBI double in the 8th to tie and a two-out HR in the 9th to lose to the Seawolves, 5-4. Ronald Herrera notched his fifth quality start but came away with his fourth no-decision, allowing three runs over six innings on three hits, two walks, and a Victor Robles. He struck out five. The loss went to Richard Guasch on the aforementioned solo HR. Dondrei Hubbard, Justin Connell, and Jackson Cluff each went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk. Harrisburg did not hit a home run for the 17th time this season, dropping their record to 2-15 in those games.
Roster moves: LHP Evan Lee recalled to Washington, where he threw 3⅔ innings and allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while fanning three in a 5-0 loss to the Mets.

Wilmington broke out for four runs in the 3rd and 5th as they took Game Two, 10-4. Tim Cate threw just 41 pitches while tossing four scoreless innings, allowing one hit, no walks, and setting down five on strikes. The win went to MiLB rehab Luis Avilán for two goose eggs and two baserunners while fanning three. The Blue Rocks marched to a 13-hit parade, led by Omar Meregildo with four hits (one HR) and four RBI and followed by Onix Vega with a single and a homer, and three RBI.

The FredNats took advantage of 11 walks and an error to score 13 times on just seven hits in a 13-9 win over the Woodpeckers. Mason Denaburg struck out a career-high six and walked three over three scoreless innings. He threw 49 pitches, 26 for strikes. Andrew Alvarez followed Denaburg and got the “W,” though he let in three on five hits and two walks over four innings. White also singled to get off the Interstate for the first time since May 24. Brady House singled twice and walked once but committed his 11th error in 28G at SS.
