Tres Barrera failed to throw out any of the six baserunners who attempted to steal, including an error on an attempt at third base in the 8th that resulted in the game-winning run for a 3-2 Red Wings loss. Jefry Rodriguez failed to make it through five innings for the ninth time in ten starts, as he gave up two runs on two hits (one HR) over three and a 1/3rd innings. Tyler Clippard gave up a single and a double in the 8th for the loss. Andrew Stevenson singled three times and stole his 19th base while Josh Palacios reached base four times with two single and two walks to lead the Rochester offense.

Harrisburg avoided the shutout but couldn’t stop its season-long losing streak from going to seven games with a 3-1 decision to Akron. Steven Fuentes labored through three innings, needing 83 pitches to get nine out as the RubberDucks got to him for two runs on four hits and three walks. Jake Alu extended his hit streak to eight games with a single and a double while Drew Millas singled twice and drove in a run. The rest of the lineup went 2-for-26.

The Blue Rocks were shut out, 4-0, on three hits by the IronBirds to stop a four-game winning streak. Mitchell Parker lost for the first time, giving up an unearned run on six hits and no walks while striking out seven. Ricardo Méndez was the sole Wilmington batter to reach base twice (single, walk) while Israel Pineda and Darren Baker also singled.

Fredericksburg busted out for five in the 5th, then added three in the 6th to take an 8-1 lead and held on for the 9-5 win over Salem. Bryan Caceres got the Jack Morris win with four runs let in on three hits and four walks over five and a 1/3rd innings. He struck out five. T.J. White pushed his hit streak to six games with two singles and a double while Jeremy De La Rosa reached base four times with two walks and two singles to lead the FredNats offense.

Lightning ended this one after eight innings, though a 7-0 lead after three left only a little doubt about the outcome as the F-Nats pummeled the F-Mets, 11-2. 17-y.o. Gabriel Agostini made his third start and stretched out to three innings, with two hits and a walk and four whiffs notched. The win went to 20-y.o. Jose Cedeno with two scoreless, hitless, and walkless innings. Jose Colmenares led the age-appropriate hitters with a single and a homer while driving in two as the F-Nats registered nine hits and five walks total.
