Rochester busted out of the gate with six runs in the 1st and never looked back as they took the series finale, 11-2, and the series, 4-2. Cole Henry actually pitched like he had a big lead and came right at the Buffalo batters, putting his classic arsenal to good use. The 2020 2nd Rd. pick tossed a season-high five scoreless innings with three hits and one walk allowed and three K’s to win his AAA debut. Andrew Stevenson reached base four times with an infield single, a walk, his 15th double, and his third HR to lead the Red Wings’ 11-hit, two-walk offense.
Erie 6 Harrisburg 3
• Irvin (L, 0-1) 4⅓ IP, 6H, 4R, 4ER, BB, 3K
• Brzykcy 1IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Alu 3-5, R, 2-2B, HR, RBI
• G. Lara 2-3
It was quite the opposite for Jake Irvin in his AA debut as the SeaWolves took the air out of his sails with a four-run 1st as they doubled up the Senators, 6-3, and took the series, 5-1. Irvin did right the ship and pitch into the 5th for his longest outing of the season but took the loss. He allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while fanning three. Jake Alu racked up eight total bases with two doubles and his seventh HR while Gilbert Lara singled twice in three trips to the plate. Mitch Longo also homered as Harrisburg finished with nine hits and two walks.
Greensboro 4 Wilmington 2
• Knowles 4IP, 3H, 0R, 0BB, 4K

Wilmington nursed a 2-0 lead into the 8th but gave up four runs on two homers in the 8th to drop the game, 4-2, but still won the series, 4-2. Lucas Knowles made the spot start and tossed four scoreless innings, allowing three hits, no walks, and fanning four. Curtis Taylor walked a batter, hit a batter, then, after a sacrifice, gave up a three-run HR and solo HR for the blown-save-loss. The Blue Rocks drew six walks but collected just six hits, with Jordy Barley the sole batter to have multiple hits.
Fayetteville 6 Fredericksburg 5
• Collins ⅔ IP, 2H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 2K

• Emiliani 2-3, R, 2B, BB, RBI

• Arias 2-4, RBI
The FredNats dropped the series finale, 6-5, the series, 4-2, and fell back to .500 at 25-25. Starter Brendan Collins didn’t make it out of the 1st as it was deuces wild: two runs, two hits, two walks, and two strikeouts. The loss went to Marlon Perez, who let in two runs on two hits and a walk over two innings. Fredericksburg had two chances in the late innings, getting the tying and go-ahead runs on in the 8th but hiting into a double play. In the 9th, Viandel Peña tried to stretch a one-out double into a triple but was thrown out.
