A five-run 2nd erased an early 2-0 deficit as Rochester took the opener from Worcester, 8-2. Jackson Tetreault pitched into the 6th for the third straight start, allowing both Red Sox runs on a two-run HR and three hits total. He walked two and fanned a season-high eight. Luis García and Jake Noll both went 2-for-5 with a homer with three runs and five RBI combined.

The Senators’ inability to score without the longball continued as they were shut out by the Flying Squirrels, 2-0 for their third straight loss. Roland Herrera notched a quality start with six innings of one-run ball on four hits and one walk. He struck out seven while suffering his second loss. Jake Alu was the sole Harrisubrg batter to reach base twice with a double and single as the Sens were limited to five hits total.

If any Brooklyn fans left after the 7th and the Cyclones up 5-1, they may be shocked to learn that Wilmington prevailed, 12-5. Cyclones pitchers walked six in the 8th, enabling the Blue Rocks to score 10 runs on just four hits, with none of them a home run. Drew Mendoza led the eight-hit attack with two singles and a double and drove in five, followed by Israel Pineda’s two singles with an RBI, and Jordy Barley’s three-run triple. Matt Merrill got the start but failed to go five innings for the fifth time in five starts, knocked from the box after getting five outs on 57 pitches. Troy Stainbrook was credited with the win after getting the last two outs of the 7th.

Dustin Saenz made his first start in 10 days and pitched five innings of two-run ball on five hits and a walk. He struck out five. Jack Sinclair stranded two in the 7th but gave up the deciding run in the 8th on a hit and a walk. Branden Boisserie and Jeremy De La Rosa both singled twice to lead the FredNats’ attack, which was limited to six hits and three walks.
