The Red Wings struck for six in the 2nd en route to an 8-1 rout and earn a 3-3 series split with the Bisons. Aaron Sanchez scattered seven hits over six innings for the lone Buffalo run. He walked two and struck out three. Alberto Baldonado, Sam Clay, and Carl Edwards Jr. each put up a goose egg to audition for a callup close out the game. Luis García doubled, tripled, and drove in three as did Josh Palacious with his fourth HR, which capped off the Rochester scoring binge.

Harrisburg 2 Portland 1

Harrisburg homered twice to edge Portland again by a single run and split the six-game series. Steven Fuentes labored through five innings, throwing 68 pitches (48 for strikes) but allowed just the one run on five hits and a walk while striking out three. It was his first win since July 27, 2019. Three relievers combined for four scoreless, with Kody Clemmer and Matt Cronin both picking up a hold, and Matt Brill working around a two-out double for his 5th save. Offensively, the Sens managed just three hits total with Jacob Rhinesmith adding a single and drawing the home team’s only walk.

The Blue Rocks got all three runs in the 5th on four singles and a sac fly while the ‘pen bent did not break for a 3-1 win and a… wait for it… series split. Seth Shuman let in the sole Ironbirds run on a home run and two hits total over five innings. He walked two and struck out six. Lucas Knowles blanked Aberdeen for three innings, racking up five K’s against no walks and two hits. Zach Brzykcy high-wired through the 9th, loading the bases with one out on two singles and a walk before getting a flyball just shallow enough to RF to keep the runner on 3rd for the second out and strikeout to end the game and earn the save.

Carolina 4 Fredericksburg 2
• Lara (L, 0-1) 4IP, 3H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 7K, HR, BK

Fredericksburg’s modest three-game win streak came to a halt with a 4-2 loss in the series finale. Andry Lara took the loss with two runs allowed on a solo HR and three hits total. He walked two and struck out seven. Jeremy De La Rosa and Viandel Peña both went 1-for-3 with a run scored to pace the FredNats offense. Brady House singled to extend his hit streak to nine games.
