Just two Nationals players appeared in the game:
- Jackson Cluff led off and played shortstop, reaching base three times with two singles and a walk, scoring twice, stealing a base (7th this fall), and driving in a run. In the field, he had a busy day with four putouts and four assists. He’s now batting .343/.447/.471 in 70AB.
- Evan Lee pitched two scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out three. He was credited with his third hold. His eighth appearance lowered his ERA to 5.19 – five runs let in on ten hits, two walks, and two Victor Robles over eight and 2/3rds innings while striking out ten.
The Desert Dogs were idle yesterday, thus the Sagauros lead is now a ½ game with three games left – all at home. Today, they won’t have to see how it plays in Peoria because the Javelinas are coming to town for an afternoon game.
