Henry (pictured above) struck out six to push his AFL-leading total to 21 in 12 innings this fall. He allowed one run on two hits and walked none while getting the “W.”
Evan Lee shook off his last outing to spin a scoreless 6th, working around a leadoff double and a walk. He threw 21 pitches, 10 for strikes.
Three Nats were in the starting lineup:
- Donovan Casey led off and played center field. He only went 1-for-5, but the “1” was his second home run, earning him another dugout stroll with the “home run hat.” (below)
- Jackson Cluff was the shortstop and the No. 2 batter. He went hitless in five trips to the plate, though he walked, stole a base, and scored a run.
- Drew Millas batted 7th as the Surprise DH but was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.
The Scorpions and Saguaros will rematch tomorrow. Surprise has opened up a four-game lead in the AFL West with 15 games left on the 2021 slate.
