Rochester Red Wings (43-61, 5th, 20½ GB, Northeast Div. AAA East)
One team’s losing streak is going to come to an end tonight as Rochester, loser of six straight and winless in eight, visits Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, loser of nine straight. The Red Wings’ tailspin has brought them within a game and a half of last place, with no more games left against the current cellar-dwellers, the Syracuse Mets.

Harrisburg Senators (41-66, 6th, 26GB, Southwest Div. AA Northeast)
The Senators return to City Isle for their final homestand to face the BaySox for seven games. Believe it or not, this is only the second series between these two teams, with Bowie taking one of five played way back in May.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (46-60, 4th, 17½ GB, North Division High-A East)
Wilmington also returns home for the last time in 2021, taking on Aberdeen for six (games 18-23). The Blue Rocks have won 8 of 17 games and can take the season series with four or more wins.

Fredericksburg Nationals (37-71, 4th, 29GB, North Division, Low-A East
The F-Nats are in a seven-game tailspin, with the last six at the hands of the first-place S-Sox. It doesn’t get much easier as they stay on the road for six more against the Shorebirds, a team that has beaten them 22 times in 30 games this season.

A five-run 2nd put the D-Nats in the driver’s seat early as they stopped a three-game slide with a 6-4 win over the D-Phillies Red. 17-y.o. Gabriel Agostini, who’s been kept on a short leash with his second three-inning stint after nine previous appearances of two innings or less, got the start and allowed no hits, two walks, and a Victor Robles. He struck out three. 19-y.o. Jose Cedeno got the win in relief with two runs over four innings while 19-y.o. Ronni Montero put up two goose eggs to earn the save. Jenier Fernandez and Armando Cruz, both 17, led the 12-hit attack with three singles each.
