Jake Noll’s grand slam would be all Rochester would get, but it would be all they need for 4-2 win to establish a three-game winning streak. Jefy Rodriguez won for the second time with a quality start, allowing two HRs and six hits total over six innings. He walked one and struck out six. Jhon Romero, Aaron Barrett, and Bryan Bonnell each put up a goose egg to seal the deal, with Romero and Barrett earning holds and Bonnell getting the save. Victor Robles added the only other extra-base hit (a double) while singling, as did Trey Barrera and Jecksson Flores. Roster moves: LHP Carson Teel reassigned from Harrisburg; RHP Tanner Rainey recalled to Washington; RHP Dakota Bacus activated from 3-Day T.I.L.; RHP Wander Suero optioned from Washington.

The Senators weren’t shut out but still lost for the 75th time, 5-2. Tim Cate joined the 10-loss club with three runs allowed on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five. Armond Upshaw’s RBI double followed by Cole Freeman’s RBI single in the 2nd would be the extent of the Sens offense, as they were held to three RISP opportunities and left on four baserunners.

Bowling Green scored ten runs before Israel Pineda went deep for the 14th time to prevent the shutout, 10-2. Seth Shuman took the loss as he was spun for seven hits (one HR) and four runs over three innings to lose for the fifth time in eight starts for the Blue Rocks. He walked none and struck out three. The Wilmington offense hit for the cycle with a single by Justin Connell, a double and triple by Jake Arruda, and a homer by Israel Pineda.

The FCL Nats closed out the 2021 season with a 4-1 loss to their co-tenants, the FCL Astros. Johan Otanez went the first two innings and let in two runs on one hit and three walks. He struck out three while taking his first loss. Andry Arias connected for his 10th double while Yoander Rivero scored the lone run after drawing the third of four walks and coming around on a wild pitch. Rivero, Landon Dieterich, and Gunner Halter rounded out the four-hit assault with a single apiece.
