The WooSox doubled up the Red Wings, 4-2 to take their fourth straight. Bryan Bonnell got the nod and was battered for all four Worcester runs on four this and two walks over four innings. Nick Wells (3IP) and Andrew Lee (2IP) combined for five scoreless innings, but the offense failed to do its part. Again. Rochester managed just single runs in the 5th (Blake Swihart solo HR) and the 9th (Swihart bases-loaded walk) and blew two chances to drive in the tying runs as Donovan Casey struck out and Victor Robles popped out.

With two-spots over its last three “ups,” Harrisburg pulled away from a 3-3 tie broke its four-game losing streak with a 9-6 win over Erie. Steven Fuentes made his first rehab outing for the Sens as he works his way back to you, babe (or AAA). Fuentes struck out seven, walked none, and gave up three runs on seven hits over five innings. Mario Sanchez finished the game and gave up the last three SeaWolves runs on six hits (one HR) and a walk. He struck out four while getting his fourth win. Armond Upshaw was the beer man in Harrisburg’s 12-hit parade though he drew three walks. Rhett Wiseman led the hit column with three singles and a double.

The Cyclones spun the Blue Rocks for a pair of five-run rallies for a 10-1 win. Mitchell Parker continues to pile up the K’s (126 in 89⅓ IP) and the L’s as he took his 11th loss with five runs let in on four hits and two walks over two and a 1/3rd. Justin Connell singled and doubled and scored the lone Wilmington run on a groundout. Israel Pineda and Ricardo Méndez also singled to round out the Blue Rocks’ barrage of four hits.

Fredericksburg battled back from a 5-1 deficit with four runs in the top of the 7th, only to see Salem answer with five to hang a 10-5 loss on the Nats’ Low-A affilate. The rally took Karlo Seijas off the hook, though the org’s leader in losses, hits, and runs allowed was done after just 2/3rds inning – the second time this season he hit the pitch count for an inning in the 1st. Amos Willingham stranded three while cleanup the mess and tossed three innings of one-run relief. The loss went to Bryan Peña, who lost his streak of clean outings (seven) and scoreless innings (15⅓ IP) with the aforementioned five-run 7th. Raudy Read drove in three with a homer and only allowed one stolen base while Darren Baker, Jaden Fein, and José Sánchez each had two hits to power the F-Nats offense.

The FCL Nats broke out for five in the 5th bust open a 1-0 game and cruise to an 8-2 filet of the FCL Marlins. Ryan Brinley provided proof of life with an inning in the first, his first appearance since Aug. 12, 2017. The win went to Aldo Ramirez, who threw three scoreless with one hit and one whiff. 5th Rd. pick T.J. White homered twice and drove in five runs while fellow HS pick Brady “He’s A Brick House” singled, doubled, and scored two runs to lead the FCL Nats’ nine-hit, four-walk attack. Roster moves: RHP Ryan Brinley assigned from Harrisburg for MiLB rehab.
