Rochester Red Wings (34-51, 5th, 19GB, Northeast Div. AAA East)
The Red Wings dropped five of six against the Bison and fell back another two games in their division. While most of the affiliates have about a month left, Rochester will play an extra 10 games as part of MLB’s “Triple-A Final Stretch.” This week it’s seven against the IronPigs, including a doubleheader on Saturday.
Harrisburg Senators (33-56, 6th, 23GB, Southwest Div. AA Northeast)
Harrisburg finished its 12-game homestand at 5-7 and now heads to first-place Akron for six. The two teams met previously on July 13-18 at City Isle and the RubberDucks took four of six.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (39-51, 4th, 17GB, North Division High-A East)
The Blue Rocks are riding a five-game streak that put four games between them and the last-place Cyclones and picked up two against the first-place Renegades. This week, it’s six at second-place Aberdeen, where the two split their previous series at Ripken Stadium in May.
Fredericksburationals (33-57, 4th, 19GB, North Division, Low-A East
Fredericksburg makes the second of three treks out to Salisbury, MD to face Delmarva for six. After starting the season 0-8 against the Shorebirds, the F-Nats have broken even against the Shorebirds, including a 4-2 series win earlier this month.
