Rochester Red Wings (33-46, 5th, 16GB, Northeast Div. AAA East)
Rochester broke even last week against Syracuse, which was somehow good enough to gain a game in its division. This week, they’re on the road for six against second-place Buffalo.
Harrisburg Senators (30-53, 6th, 21GB, Southwest Div. AA Northeast)
The Senators dropped another ½ game back with two wins and four losses against the SeaWolves. The 12-game homestand continues this week with six against the Fisher Cats
Wilmington Blue Rocks (34-50, 4th, 19GB, North Division High-A East)
Wilmington also remains home with Brooklyn taking the train down from New York—I know it’s probably a bus, but work with me here—to visit for six. The Blue Rocks are just percentage points out of last place after taking two of six from the Hot Rods last week.
Fredericksburationals (29-56, 4th, 21GB, North Division, Low-A East
The F-Nats return to Fredericksburg after a 2-4 swing through Fayetteville to host the first-place Salem Red Sox. It’s the fifth of six meetings between the two teams with Salem leading the season series 18-6. Roster moves: 2B Viandel Peña placed on the 7-Day I.L.; LHP Lucas Knowles returned from MiLB rehab (but still on I.L.)

The FCL Nats rallied from deficits of 3-0, 5-1, and 7-6 to take this one in 11 innings, 8-7. Bernardo Hiraldo picked up where he left off last week but was only slightly less ineffective as he gave up two more runs over three innings for a total of five over seven. He walked one, struck out six, and hit three batters. Miguel Gomez picked up the win in relief of Manuel De La Rosa, who blew a save chance in the 9th, getting the last two outs of the 11th while allowing an inherited runner to score. In the bottom of the 11th, three singles and a walk plated two runners, with the gamewinner coming on a bunt single by Yoander Rivero, which was his third hit of the game. Jorge Hurtado drove in three with a pair of doubles, which were the only two extra-base hits of the ten hits the FCL Nats collected on offense.

In the regularly scheduled game, the F-Astros got three in the last of the 7th to turn a 4-2 loss into a 5-4 win. Andry Lara spun five innings of two-run ball on three hits (one HR) and a walk while striking out six. The loss was charged to Jose Ferrer, who put on four baserunners with two hits and two walks. Kevin Rodriguez let in the last two runs charged to Ferrer on a two-run single for the blown save. Offensively, rehabbers Alec Keller and Ian Sagdal combined to go 3-for-7 with a double (Sagdal) and a run scored (Keller) and three RBI to lead the seven-hit, four-walk effort. Roster moves: RHP Joan Baez assigned from Rochester for MiLB rehab.

The D-Nats hitters went double-triple-triple to lead off the 3rd and score both of its runs while the ‘pen did its job (it happens) and made it stand up for a 2-1 win over the D-Twins. Oldtimer Jorge Ramirez (turned 24 last month) went the first two innings and put up two goose eggs. The win went to 19-y.o. Bryan Polanco, who was perfect for three frames with four whiffs. Moises Diaz, 20, worked around a walk in the 9th to earn his third save. Juan Garcia, 18, singled, tripled, drove in a run, and stole two bases while 17-y.o. Armando Cruz tripled in the other run to pace the D-Nats offense.
