Rochester Red Wings (30-43, 5th, 17GB, Northeast Div. AAA East)
The Red Wings shift from playing the first-place to the last-place team for Week Two of their fourth homestand of 2021. Still no word on when they’ll make up the three games missed this past weekend, but the best bet would be during the final series between the two teams on August 17-22.
Harrisburg Senators (28-49, 6th, 20½ GB, Southwest Div. AA Northeast)
Cade Cavalli was named pitcher of the week for the AA Northeast for the period of July 26 to August 1 on the strength of his 12K’s over 6⅔ scoreless innings on Friday. Harrisburg returns home for six against the SeaWolves this week, and six against Fisher Cats next week.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (32-46, 4th, 18GB, North Division High-A East)
Like the Senators, the Blue Rocks return home after breaking a nine-game losing streak and breaking even last week against the first-place Renegades. They’re home for two weeks, beginning with six vs. the AA East’s best team, the Bowling Green Hot Rods – the outlier in KY that was the loser in the 2021 MLB-MiLB takeover as the Tampa Bay affiliate has to travel more than 400 miles one way each time it heads out on the road… in its own division.
Fredericksburg Nationals (27-51, 4th, 19GB, North Division, Low-A East
Fredericksburg makes its one and only 2021 trip outside of the states of Virginia and Maryland this week to go to North Carolina and visit Fayetteville. After a 4-2 week, and their first home series win, the F-Nats remain 19 games out of first in the division and two games ahead of Kannapolis for worst in the league.

• P. González (L, 1-2) 2⅓ IP, 8H, 6R, 5ER, BB, 2K, HR
• Ferrer 3IP, 3H, R, ER,BB, 3K, HR
• Vann 2IP, 1H, 0R, 3K
• Coutts 4-4, 2R, BB, 2RBI
• Torres 3-5, 2R, 3B, RBI
• Amparo 3-5, 2B, RBI
The two teams traded runs for the four innings, but the FCL Cards got more crooked numbers (three vs. two) and that proved to be the difference in a 10-8 win over the FCL Nationals. Pedro González failed to register a clean outing for the 12th time in 13 appearances and lost for the second time in the FCL, seventh overall. It was six runs this on eight hits and a walk in the space of 16 batters. Jackson Coutts reached base five times, scored twice, and drove in two while Ray Torres and Yueri Amparo both went 3-for-5 with an RBI to pace the FCL Nats’ offense. Roster moves: LHP Lucas Knowles assigned from Fredericksburg for MiLB rehab.
