Play was halted shortly after Brandon Snyder hit a three-run HR as Iron Pigs third baseman Daniel Brito suffered what’s officially being called “an on-field medical emergency.” Local reporter Sal Maiorana of the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle filed this story last night. Brito was taken to a local hospital and has reportedly undergone emergency surgery. No further details are available as we go to virtual press. Roster moves: RHP Mason Thompson recalled to Washington.

Harrisburg got going early with three in the 1st and never looked back as they tripled up Altoona, 9-3. Jackson Tetreault bounced back a poor outing to turn in six innings of one-run ball on four hits and a walk. The 25-y.o. struck out two while earning his first AA win of 2021. K.J. Harrison singled, homered, and walked while Nick Banks drove in three with a single and a double to lead the Senators’ 12-hit parade.

The Blue Rocks reverted to the mean as they lost in the 9th on a walk-off piece for a 5-4 loss to the Renegades. Francys Peguero gave it up to the second batter he faced in the 9th for his third loss. Todd Peterson made it to the 3rd in his third start but was manhandled for two runs on five hits and two walks. Yasel Antuna singled twice and doubled twice to finish July with a 34-for-108 mark (.315) while Jacob Rhinesmith notched two singles as Wilmington collected ten hits total.

Andry Lara’s struggles continue as he was dinged for eight runs over four innings in a 12-5 pounding of the FCL Nationals by FCL Mets. Lara gave up three HR and six hits total while tying his career high in K’s with eight. Jose Mercedes was the sole reliever to not give up a run as the ‘pen was dinged for four runs over five innings. Jorge Hurtado tripled and homers and drove in two while Jackson Coutts singled twice to pace the FCL Nats offense.
