Jake Noll and Mike Ford hit back-to-back homers in a four-run 7th to power Rochester to a 6-3 win over Syracuse. Seth Romero labored through four innings in his AAA debut, walking two and striking out five while giving up a run on four hits. Dakota Bacus was the pitcher of record when the Red Wings erased a 3-1 deficit to get his third win despite giving up two runs over two innings. Noll also doubled and walked as did Nick Banks twice and once respectively to lead Rochester’s 11-hit, seven-walk offense.

Joan Adon did not disappoint in his AA debut as the 23-y.o. struck out 10 and tossed a quality start in a 7-2 Senators win over the Yard Goats. Adon went six and gave up both Hartford runs on five hits and no walks to get the win. (The law firm of) Pearson McMahan threw two scoreless innings to earn the hold while Bryan Dobzanski added one to finish the game. K.J. Harrison singled once, doubled twice, and drove in three while Aldrem Corredor reached base three times (HR, BB, 1B) and drove in two to power the Harrisburg attack. Roster moves: SS Jackson Cluff placed on 7-Day I.L.

An 8-0 lead was too small for the Wilmington pitchers to work with as they barely avoided losing in regulation, giving up the tying runs after retiring the first two batters in the top of the 9th. In the 10th, a sacrifice and a six-pitch walk put runners on the corners before the rains came and stopped play. Weather permitting, they’ll finish this one and play the regularly scheduled game this afternoon.

The F-Nats batters only gave their pitchers four runs to work with, but it was enough for a 4-1 win and the second three-game winning streak of 2021. Matt Merrill fanned eight and walked one over five scoreless innings. He gave up five hits while earning his second win. Bryan Peña maintained his 0.00 ERA for the month of August with two more goose eggs. Cole Quintanilla walked the leadoff batter and gave up a two-out single but struck out the side for the save. Jacob Young notched his first career multi-hit game as a pro with two singles and stole two bases while José Sánchez singled twice and drove in a run as the Fredericksburg nine collected eight hits and seven walks. Roster moves: RHPs Andrew Alvarez (12th Rd. pick), Tyler Schoff (shut yo mouth!) reassigned from the FCL.
