Syracuse 2 Rochester 1 (10 inn.)
• Rogers 7⅓ IP, 4H, 0R, BB, 5K
• Suero ⅔ IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 0K, 1-0 IR-S
• Goody (L, 1-1) 1IP, 2H, 2R, 1ER, IBB, 0K
• Snyder 1-2, 2BB, RBI
• Swihart 1-4, 2B
It took extras and the free runner to break a 0-0 tie as the S-Mets got two in their half of the 10th and the Red Wings could only get back one for a 2-1 loss. Josh Rogers pitched into the 8th for the first time this season, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out five. Wander Suero stranded a runner while finishing the 8th and Alberto Baldonado worked around a double and a walk in the 9th. The loss went to Sam Goody, as he gave up a one-out double to plate the go-ahead run and a single for what would be the game-winner. Brandon Snyder’s RBI single with one out in the bottom of the 10th broke up the shutout as neither Humberto Arteaga (fielder’s choice) nor Rafael Bautista could deliver the equalizer. Blake Swihart’s double in the 1st was the only other Rochester hit. Roster moves: LHP Matt Tomshaw released.
Harrisburg 7 Erie 6
• Tetreault (W, 2-0) 5IP, 5H, 2R, 2ER, BB, 3K
• Navas (SV, 1) 2IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Casey 3-4, 3R, 2B, HR, 3RBI, SB

Harrisburg jumped to a 5-0 lead early and held on for 7-6 win over Erie. Jackson Tetreault got his second win with five innings of two-run ball on five hits and a walk while striking out three. (The law firm of) Pearson McMahan continues to struggle, as he was lit up for four runs on four hits over two innings – the third straight outing he’s been dinged for multiple runs. Carlos Navas put up goose eggs in the 8th and 9th innings while fanning three to earn the save, his first since joining the team. Donovan Casey singled, doubled, homered, and drove in three to lead the Senators’ nine-hit parade.
Bowling Green 6 Wilmington 0
• Guasch (L, 0-1) 4⅔ IP, 3H, 5R, 2ER, 4BB, 5K, 3HR
• Peterson 2IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Connell 1-2
• Meregildo 1-3
• Arruda 1-3
Four Hot Rods pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout as the Blue Rocks were blanked, 10-0. Richard Guasch misread the new guy memo as the 23-y.o. Cuban gave up five runs on three home runs while walking four over four and 2/3rds innings. He struck out five. Alfonso Hernández, Todd Peterson, and Francys Peguero combined for four and 1/3rd innings of one-run relief, but as noted above, the offense couldn’t get into gear as they managed just three singles and two walks. Roster moves: 1B-LF Aldrem Corredor assigned from Harrisburg for MiLB Rehab.
Fayetteville 4 Fredericksburg 1
• Cuevas (L, 0-4) 5IP, 3H, 4R, 0ER, 3BB, 5K, HBP
• Stainbrook 3IP, 1H, 0R, BB, 4K
• Méndez 1-3, 2B, BB
• Martina 1-4, RBI, E(12)
Fredericksburg added two more errors to its league-leading total in a 4-1 loss to Fayetteville. Michael Cuevas went the first five and was charged with four runs, but all were unearned as first-year first baseman Kevin Strohschein committed his 11th miscue in 38G to extend the Woodpeckers’ 4th inning, in which Fayetteville scored three times. Troy Stainbrook finished the game with three scoreless innings, but the F-Nats offense was held to just three hits and two walks. Ricardo Méndez was the sole batter to reach base twice (double, walk). Roster moves: RHP Niomar Gomez transferred from 7-Day I.L. to 60-Day I.L.
FCL Nationals 4 FCL Mets 2
• Dyson 1⅔ IP, 2H, 0R, 2BB, 2K

The FCL Nats got two in the 4th and single runs in the 7th and 9th innings as they doubled up the FCL Mets, 4-2. Tyler Dyson came out of witness protection returned to the mound and allowed two hits and two walks while fanning two over one and 2/3rds. Bryan Caceres came on in relief and stranded two while allowing a run on one hit and three walks while striking out five for his second win. Yoander Rivero doubled in two while Christopher De La Cruz’s pinch-hit RBI single in the top of the 9th provided an insurance run, though it would be needed as Chris “Chevy” Vann struck out the side in the last of the 9th for the save. Roster moves: RHP Tyler Dyson assigned from Wilmington for MiLB Rehab.
