Rochester relievers blew a 3-0 lead before the rains came and ended this one at a 3-3 tie. The two teams do not play each other again this season. Josh Rogers scattered seven hits over five scoreless innings while walking two and fanning three. Bryan Bonnell gave up one run in the 6th while Ronald Peña took over from Alberto Baldonado and coughed up a two-run HR to tie the game at 3-3. Bonnell and Baldonado were credited with a hold while Peña “earned” his second blown save. Andrew Stevenson singled twice, scored twice, and doubled while Jake Noll hit his 14th HR to lead the Red Wings offense. Roster moves: C Tres Barrera optioned from Washington.

The Yard Goats broke open a 2-0 game with a four-run 5th and cruised to an 8-2 win over the Senators for a 3-3 series split. Jackson Tetreault took the brunt of the beating, giving up six runs on seven hits (two HR) over five innings to lose for the second time at AA. He walked two and struck out four. Gage Canning drove in two with two singles and a double to lead the 11-hit Harrisburg parade.

Yasel Antuna’s two-run double highlighted a four-run 6th for Wilmington in a 7-3 win over Jersey Shore that snapped a five-game losing streak. Steven Fuentes made the rehab start and was touched for all three BlueClaws runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings. Cole Henry emerged from witness protection (OK, fin; the FCL) and made his first appearance for the Blue Rocks with four scoreless innings. He gave up two hits, walked one, and struck out six while picking up his second win. Jack Dunn and Ricardo Méndez each had three hits and combined for five runs scored to power the Wilmington offense, which had five of its ten hits go for extra bases. Roster moves: RHP Cole Henry activated from 60-Day I.L.

A two-run double in the 5th proved to be the difference as the F-Nats lost the series finale, 3-1 to the Mudcats. Michael Cuevas dropped his third straight decision as he was charged with all three Carolina runs on six hits and three walks. He struck out four in his seventh loss. Bryan Peña let in both inherited runners with the aforementioned double while closing out the 5th. Jacob Young led off with a double, took third on the first of two singles by Darren Baker, and scored the lone Fredericksburg run on a groundout by Branden Boisserie. The F-Nats mustered just four hits total and drew three walks, leaving on six baserunners.
FCL Nationals (17-24, 5th Place FCL East, 7GB)
The FCL Nats broke even (3-3) last week but fell back another game in the FCL East. This week, weather permitting, they’ll play another six games with a doubleheader on Wednesday against the FCL Astros.
DSL Nationals (17-15, 3rd place DSL South, 6½ GB
The D-Nats won four of six but basically stayed put in 3rd place, a half game out of 2nd, one game ahead of 4th place. They’ll play the D-Cards Blue (da ba dee da ba da) for two today and tomorrow, off on Wednesday, two against the D-Twins, then the Saturday one-off against the D-White Sox.
