FCL Nationals Lost, 3-0 OFF DAY

Rochester Red Wings (22-31, 5th, 13½ GB, Northeast Div. AAA East)
After taking just two of five from the last-place S-Mets, the Red Wings return to Frontier Field for six against the Bisons. Rochester is now just a ½ game out of fourth place, which, along with $2, gets them a coffee. Roster moves: IF Humberto Arteaga outrighted from Washington.

Harrisburg Senators (20-33, 6th, 11½ GB, Southwest Div. AA Northeast)
Harrisburg heads out to Reading this week, hoping to stop a two-game slide against Philadelphia’s AA entry in the (*ack*) Double-A Northeast.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (23-29, 3rd, 10½ GB, North Division, High-A East)
The Blue Rocks remain in 3rd place but have fallen back another three games off the pace in the North Division, having gone 3-12 since June 18. Wilmington is in Lakewood, NJ this week for seven against fourth-place Jersey Shore.

Fredericksburg Nationals (16-38, 4th, 20GB, North Division, Low-A East)
It’s a stoppable force against a moveable object this week as 16-38 Fredericksburg plays host to 16-37 Kannapolis. The two teams are 11th or 12th in multiple statistical categories, with the F-Nats dead last in hitting (3.69 R/G) and the Cannon Ballers dead last in pitching (7.06 R/G).

FCL Astros 3 FCL Nationals 0
• Ferrer (L, 0-1) 3IP, 4H, 2R, 2ER, 0BB, 2K, WP

The FCL Nationals were shut out, 3-0 on three hits by the FCL Astros yesterday afternoon in West Palm Beach. After obligatory innings by Javy Guerra (rehab) and Ike Schlabach (MLFA), Jose Ferrer was sent out to pitch the middle innings. The 21-y.o. southpaw was lit up for two runs on four hits to take the loss. He walked none and struck out two. Pedro González, who had been demoted from Fredericksburg in early June, finished the game with a run on two hits while striking out five. Daniel Marte, Landon Dieterich, and Jorge Hurtado each had a single while Andry Arias drew two of three walks, with Marte drawing the other. Roster moves: RHP Javy Guerra assigned from Rochester, 1B Leandro Emiliani from Fredericksburg for MiLB rehab.
