Syracuse pounded Rochester for 12 runs early but the two the Mets got two in the bottom of the 8th proved to be the difference in a 14-12 win over the Red Wings. Ben Braymer threw two innings, retiring just six of 17 batters faced as the S-Mets teed off for nine hits, including two homers. He walked two and struck out two while losing for the sixth time. The Red Wings outhit the S-Mets 15-14, with Andrew Stevenson and Jake Noll leading the hit column with three singles apiece while Rafael Bautista drove in five while going 2-for-5.

The RubberDucks were shut out in six of the nine innings but got plenty of runs in the other three as they handed the Sens their third straight loss, 10-6. Andrew Lee put 11 runners on base in four and 2/3rds innings, including five walks, as he gave up five runs on six hits. He was taken off the hook for the loss by a four-run rally in the bottom of the fifth. In his AA debut, Malvin Peña couldn’t hold the slim 6-5 lead as he gave up five runs of his own with the “help” of defensive lapse, two walks, a double, and a home run. Aldrem Corredor and Jake Alu both singled twice and drove in in a run while Gage Canning singled, doubled, and scored two runs to lead the Harrisburg offense. Alfonso Hernández came up two outs shy of a complete game in the opener, which saw Wilmington edge Hudson Valley, 3-2. Hernández scattered nine hits over six and a 1/3rd innings, charged with both Renegades runs while walking one and fanning five as he won his second High-A contest. Zach Brzykcy came on with runners on second and third and got a groundout, which scored a run, and a flyout for the save, his first. Yasel Antuna drove in two on a homer and a fielder’s choice while going 2-for-3 (nope, still on the Interstate at .191) while Cody Wilson singled, stole a base, and scored a run to pace the Wilmington offense.

The Blue Rocks completed the doubleheader sweep with another one-run win, 2-1. Todd Peterson got the spot start and allowed the lone run on a home run (hey, that rhymes!) over four innings while issuing no walks and striking out five. Andrew Karp finished the games with three scoreless, allowing one hit and two walks while setting down four on strikes for the win. Jacob Rhinesmith singled twice and scored a run while Cole Daily and Andrew Pratt drove in a run with RBI singles in the 2nd and 3rd innings, respectively.

Fredericksburg strafed Lynchburg pitchers for a season-high 14 hits as the F-Nats pounded the Hillcats, 10-1. Carlos Romero won for the first time in five starts as he spun five innings of one-run ball on a solo HR and four hits total. He walked one and struck out two. Onix Vega led the hit column with three singles; José Sánchez racked up eight total bases with a pair of doubles and a homer; Ricardo Méndez pushed his hit streak to 13 games and his BA to .301 with a single and a double.

An early 3-1 lead disappeared in the 7th as the FCL Cards scored five times in the 7th to take a 6-3 lead and held for an 8-5 win over the FCL Nationals. Jackson Rutledge made his second FCL appearance, giving up a run on two hits and a walk over two and 2/3rds innings. He struck out three. Andry Lara took the loss, with the aforementioned five runs let in on six hits and two walks over three and 2/3rds while fanning four. 19-y.o. Yoander Rivero scored three times, walked twice, homered, and drove in two to lead the FCL Nats offense.
