The Mets jumped on Rogelio Armenteros for five runs in the first and nine runs overall as they clipped the Red Wings, 9-5 to end a five-game winning streak. Armenteros pitched into the sixth, giving up nine hits (two HRs) and three walks as he lost for the fifth time. Gabe Klobosits two inherited runners with the “help” of Jake Noll’s 6th error while finishing the 6th. Bryan Bonnell mopped up in the 7th and 8th innings. Rochester collected ten hits, led by Brandon Snyder going deep twice (both solo shots) and Blake Swihart reaching base three times with a triple and two walks.

With two spots in the 1st, 4th, and 5th, and four scoreless innings from the ‘pen, Harrisburg took the opener from Somerset, 7-4. Luis Reyes became the first five-game winner in the Nats’ minors, laboring through five innings (88 pitches) and giving up all four Patriots runs on five hits (two HR) and a walk while striking out six. Jhon Romero (2IP) and Nick Wells (1IP) built a bridge to 9th, for their second and fourth holds, respectively. Frankie Bartow worked around a one-out single to notch his 8th save, which also lead the Nats minors.

The R-Braves made hay in the 1st, scoring all six runs in the opening frame as they tripled up the Blue Rocks, 6-2. Joan Adon took the loss, going four innings and allowing all six runs on seven hits and three walks. He struck out six. Andrew Karp tossed three scoreless and Tanner Driskill added two goose eggs, but the Wilmington bats were limited to five hits and four walks. They kept the Rome infield cool with 15 whiffs and left on ten baserunners.

Fredericksburg blocked an extra point and the offense only managed a field goal as they were crushed by Salem, 20-3. Carlos Romero faced 15 batters and retired four of them as he suffered his first loss. The 21-y.o. was charged with eight runs on nine hits (two HRs) while issuing a walk and striking out one. The F-Nats trotted out five relievers but every single one either gave up a run or let in an inherited runner. Junior Martina doubled and homered while Jeremy De La Rosa singled and homered to pace the Fredericksburg offense.

Rain shortened this one to six innings, but the FCL Nats had things well in hand for a 5-1 win over the FCL Astros. Jackson Tetreault made his season debut with two perfect innings. The win went to Todd Peterson with a walk issued over two scoreless innings while Pedro González lost the shutout but gained the save with a run on two hits over the last two innings. Mason “No Relation” Doolittle doubled twice and drove in two while Sammy Infante doubled once and drove in one to lead the FCL Nats offense.
