Rochester pulled even at 4-4 with a four-run 4th only to give it right back with a four-run 5th as Worcester went on to a 10-6 win. Sean Nolin was knocked from the box in the 4th after four runs given up on nine hits (one HR). T.J. McFarland was taken deep twice for all four runs he allowed and three hits total for his second loss. He walked none and struck out three. If you’ve been paying attention, then it should come as no surprise that Cody Wilson was the sole batter to not reach base as the Red Wings collected ten hits, with Luis García, Daniel Palka, and Yadiel Hernandez each singling twice. Rhett Wiseman’s 6th HR snapped a 3-3 tie but for the first time this season, Gabe Klobosits was mortal, giving up the tying run for the blown save. His teammates picked him up in the top of the 9th with three runs to get him his second “W,” while Frankie Bartow nailed it down in the 9th for a 7-4 Sens win. Andrew Lee went the first five and let in three on seven hits and two walks while striking out six. Aldrem Corredor, Ali Castillo, and Corban Joseph each had a pair of singles as Harrisburg racked up ten hits total. Roster moves: IF Kyle Marinconz reassigned from Wilmington.

Hudson Valley broke open a 3-1 game with a five-run 5th as they took the opener from Wilmington, 12-3. Alex Troop got the spot start again but was handed his first loss of the seasons with six runs (four earned) allowed on six hits and a walk. He struck out eight. The Renegades had it made against Andrew Karp and Tanner Driskill as they retrieved a bounty of six runs over two and a 1/3rd innings before Kyle Hinton put out the fire in the 7th and pitched a scoreless 8th. The Blue Rocks tallied a dozen hits but could only push across three runs, one by a sac fly (Yasel Antuna), with Armond Upshaw drawing the only walk to go along with a pair of singles, and Justin Connell’s double being the only extra-base knock. Roster moves: 1B-3B Drew Mendoza demoted from Harrisburg; IF Cole Daily, RHP Tanner Driskill reassigned from Fredericksburg; OF Telmito Agustin, IF Manuel Gerardo released.

Delmarva had its way with Bryan Peña in a seven-run 6th in a 10-0 shutout of Fredericksburg. Rodney Theophile pitched the first three innings and gave up one run on two hits and a walk while fanning three. He was charged with his fourth loss. Aaron Barrett toyed with the Shorebird for four K’s over two perfect innings before giving way to Peña, who put on all seven batters he faced. He left after giving up a grand slam, then a solo HR. Jeremy De La Rosa got the F-Nats’ only hit and one of two walks drawn (Jake Arruda). Fredericksburg struck out 15 times in their 30th loss, which was only the second shutout.

Gomez and Hubbard were both late-round college draftees in 2019. Moreno was a MLFA signed this past January after the Cubs released him in December. Tovar was an IFA signed out of Venezuela in 2017. He played in the DSL in 2018 and the GCL in 2019.
