Andry Lara’s professional debut was a strong one, as the Nats’ #5/6 prospect was the winning pitcher in a 3-1 FCL Nats’ triumph over the FCL Cardinals. The 18-y.o. walked three and gave up an unearned run on two hits but struck out eight. No word on which day next week he’ll be pitching in Washington. Edward Urena, who was signed last summer as an IFA, followed with three scoreless innings and four whiffs for the hold. Jose Ferrer worked around a walk in the 9th to earn the save. Landon Dietrich doubled in two in the 3rd and singled in the third run in the 5th to lead the FCL Nats offense. Roster moves: SS Jackson Cluff assigned from Harrisburg for MiLB rehab; OF Caldioli Sanfler released.
