Bookended by four spots in the 3rd and 7th, Rochester scored in five straight innings in a 13-5 torching of Worcester. Josh Rogers got the Jack Morris win, giving up four runs on seven hits and three walks. He struck out five while winning his third game. The Red Wings blasted Red Sox pitchers for twenty hits, including four homers, two by Luis García. Every batter had a hit, with García and Adrián Sanchez both going 4-for-5 to lead the assault. The Sens loaded the bases in the 9th but… wait for it… couldn’t push across a single run as they fell to the Curve, 4-2. Kevin Tapani took the loss as he gave up a two-run HR in the bottom of the 8th in his second full inning of relief. Cade Cavalli struck out 11 in his second AA start but fell one out shy of a quality start, allowing two runs on six hits and four walks over five and 2/3rds. Harrisburg collected nine hits, but just two came with RISP as the Senators left on 10 baserunners.

Wilmington pitchers walked nine and gave up nine hits and somehow prevented 12 of them from scoring in a 6-1 loss to Hudson Valley. Francys Peguero issued six of those bases-on-balls over just four innings as he took his second loss. He let in two runs on three hits and struck out four. Jake Alu and Gilbert Lara both singled twice but the rest of the Blue Rocks combined for just two more singles and one double.

The F-Nats scored first in the 1st, which is usually a good sign for them – it had happened in 10 of 14 wins this year – but a grand slam surrendered in the bottom half of the inning would prove to be enough as the Shorebirds triumphed, 6-3. Mitchell Parker bucked up to pitch into the sixth, but gave up all six Delmarva runs on six hits and two walks. He struck out eight while losing for the fifth time. Tomás Alastre mopped up with two and a 1/3rd scoreless and hitless innings, though he walked two and hit batter while fanning two. Viandel Peña singled twice and walked once to lead Fredericksburg’s six-hit, five-walk offense.
