The IronPigs were the Lucy to the RedWings’ Charlie Brown as they yanked the ball away for the third straight game with a 5-4 walk-off win in 10 innings. Ben Braymer returned to the starting rotation and let in the first three Lehigh Valley runs on four hits (one HR) and three walks over five innings. He struck out three. A trio of relievers put up a goose egg before Justin Miller allowed a pair of singles with a stolen base sandwich in-between to plate the tying run in the 9th. Ryne Harper took the loss with a groundout and a single in the 10th. Rochester made the most of its limited offense (four hits, three walks, one Victor Robles), led by Brandon Snyder’s Earl Weaver Special – the 34-y.o.’s 179th career big fly – and Raudy Read’s RBI double.

Harrisburg ended the organizational 0-for-2021 with a 5-2 win over Somerset. Cole Freeman (2-for-4, 3RBI) drove in the go-ahead in the 8th while Rhett Wiseman’s two-run HR in the 9th to give Frankie Bartow plenty of cushion, which the 24-y.o. didn’t need as he dispatched the Yankees on nine pitches (eight for strikes) for the save. Carson Teel was the starter and turned in five innings of two-run ball in his regular-season AA debut. He gave up four hits, walked two, and fanned three. Gabe Klobosits picked up the win with two scoreless innings following teel.

The IronBirds broke open a 1-0 game with a four-run 8th, to which the Blue Rocks could only get back three as they fell for the third straight game, 5-3. Cade Cavalli blanked the IronBirds for five innings in his pro debut, striking out seven and walking just one. He allowed just two hits. The loss went to Tyler Dyson, as he let in the first Aberdeen run to break up the Star Trek convention in the 6th. Wilmington was held to just five hits and two walks, with Gilbert Lara connecting for the sole extra-base hit – a one-out solo HR in the 8th. He struck out five. Landon Dietrick walked and homered while Zach Cornell walked and doubled to pace the F-Nats offense.
