Happy Thanksgiving

In my heart, I wish for everyone to be with their families and loved ones today. Because that’s what Thanksgiving has become, despite some of its ugly origins, or that’s the 35-yard-line for the 4th Qtr in Retail.

In my head, I know that tens of millions of people will ignore the warnings of the CDC and do Thanksgiving unsafely in person instead of virtually, putting their wants ahead of everyone else’s needs, the cost to others unseen and unconsidered. Except, as we saw this past summer, others will pay for it.

But I’ll stop now because as my wife reminds me, you’re here for something else, even if we have no idea how and when that something else will return.

I am thankful for this community of fans to serve and interact with in the comments. That you’ve stuck around for so long when I couldn’t possibly blame you for moving on or waiting until all this is over. It’s a huge part of what motivates me to keep this thing going.

Now, for the Annual Instructions:

  1. Stay safe
  2. Show some plate discipline
  3. Call your mother
