In West Palm Beach, the Nats and Marlins played to a 2-2 tie while the Nats shut out the Mets, 5-0 in Port St. Lucie.
Joe Ross got the start at “home,” but gave up both Miami runs on three hits and three walks over two and a 1/3rd innings. Five relievers combined for 6⅔ scoreless innings of relief to preserve the tie, led by Aaron Barrett’s three innings of one-hit, no-walk ball.
Howie Kendrick drove in both Washington runs with singles in the 1st and 3rd innings.
On the road, Austin Voth tossed three scoreless with three hits allowed but no walks and three whiffs to get the coveted (well, no, not really) ST “W.” Wil Crowe walked two and gave up two hits but led the quintet of relievers with 2⅔: of the six combined shutout innings of relief to secure the shutout.
Ryan Zimmerman ended the 0-0 score with a two-run single in the 4th ands scored on an infield hit by Carter Kieboom and an error by the Mets.

• Jake Noll went 0-for-2 with a K as the second LF after some schlub named Juan Soto
• Tres Barrera popped out in the 9th after taking over catching duties from Wellington Castillo
• Jeremy De La Rosa pinch-ran for J.B Shuck but was caught stealing in the 7th
