AFL Update: Oct. 24, 2019

Luis Garcia called out on a throw from left field. Lee thought he was safe, but Darth Vad…er the ump disagreed.
The off day did little to stop Surprise’s tailspin as the Sagauros fell for the fourth straight game, 2-0 to the Solar Sox.

Luis Garcia was penciled in (could have been pen, but it’s an expression) at his usual spot in the field (shortstop) and his usual slot in the lineup (second). Garcia extended his hitless streak to ten at-bats before tripling to lead off the 7th. As pictured above, he was thrown out at home on a 7-2 double play. Defensively, Garcia had two assists.

K.J. Harrison was the only other National to appear in the game, as he hit sixth and was the DH. He went 0-for-3 with two K’s in his fourth game since Oct. 10.

Tonight is the final night game for the Surprise Saguros as they travel to Salt River to face the Scottsdale Scorpions.
