Drew Ward dug Fresno out of a hole twice with two-run HRs – once in the 2nd, again in the 8th for a 4-2 win, the fourth straight for the Grizzlies. Ben Braymer went the first four innings and gave up a run on three hits and four walks while fanning five. The win went to James Bourque for a scoreless top of the 8th while Sam Freeman pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his third save. Brandon Snyder was the only other batter to reach base twice with a single and a walk as Fresno was held to four hits total.

Potomac rallied from a 5-2 deficit to take the opener, 5-2. Tim Cate was strafed for ten hits over five and a 1/3rd innings but the kept the ball in the yard. He let in all five Frederick runs, walked one, and struck out three for his seventh win. Frankie Bartow stranded two while getting out of the 6th and put up another zero in the 7th for his 10th save. Cole Freeman and Alex Dunlap both reached base three times with a single, double, and a walk to lead the P-Nats’ 11-hit parade.

In the nightcap, it was much more mundane: a single run in the 2nd to tie, one in 5th to take the lead, and two in the 7th to make the 4-1 final for the P-Nats and sweep the doubleheader. Unfortunately, Salem and Wilmington both won again to push Potomac to the brink of elimination. Luis Reyes won for the third time in four appearances against the Keys with the one run let in on four hits and a walk over five and a 1/3rd innings. He struck out five. Hayden Howard stranded one in the 6th and got the last five outs for his third save. Aldrem Corredor singled twice and doubled once and drove in two while Osvaldo Abreu reach base three times to pace the P-Nats attack.

The Suns boiled the BlueClaws for six runs in the first three innings and cruised to 6-1 win. Jake Irvin evened up his won-loss record at 8-8 with six scoreless, allowing four hits and two walks while fanning eight. Nick Wells add two more goose eggs before Chandler Day lost the shutout in the 9th. Nic Perkins, Trey Vickers, and Justin Connell combined for six of the ten Hagerstown hits on the night.
Roster move: RHP Tomas Alastre placed on the 7-Day I.L. to make room for RHP Niomar Gomez, up from Auburn.

Auburn busted out for six in the 6th to turn a 4-1 game into a 10-1 laugher as they won easily, 12-5. Tyler Dyson threw five innings of two-run ball on three hits and a walk. He struck out two while winning his second game. Karlo Seijas was gifted with a save despite giving up three runs over the last four innings. Cody Wilson tripled and singled twice while Landerson Peña homered and scored three runs to lead the Doubledays offense.
