Fresno blew leads of 3-1 and 7-4 but scored in the bottom of the 9th and didn’t have to play in the 10th for an 8-7 win, breaking a seven-game losing a streak. Scott Copeland got the start and put on 10 baserunners over five innings, allowing four of them to score. Ronald Peña gave up a run in the 7th and James Bourque let in two in the 8th for the blown save, his first. Dakota Bacus stranded a runner while finishing the 8th and pitched a scoreless 9th to get the win, his fifth. Carter Kieboom drew a walk to lead off the 9th, took second when Yadiel Hernandez got hit by a pitch, and scored the winning run on Raudy Read’s fourth hit of the night, a double.

The Sens put up two five spots and needed them both as they outslugged the Curve, 13-10. Jackson Tetreault fell two outs shy of registering a Jack Morris win as he was strafed for five runs on nine hits, including three home runs. The “W” went to Jordan Mills, who wobbled through the rest of the 5th but got two outs without scoring a run for his fourth win. Dante Bichette Jr. singled twice, tripled twice, and drove in three while Adrián Sanchez reached base four times on three singles and a walk while driving two to lead the Harrisburg offense.

The rain shortened the game to five innings and saved the Potomac bullpen as Myrtle Beach won, 8-0. Ryan Tapani served up six runs on seven hits and three walks over four innings for his second loss while Jorge Pantoja was dinged for two in the 5th on three hits. Osvaldo Abreu and Telmito Agustin both singled while Aldrem Corredor, who caught one of seven balls hit in his direction in left field, connected for a double to comprise the P-Nats offense.

The BlueClaws scored in four of the first five innings as they doubled up the Suns, 6-3 to tie the series at 1-1. Ryan Williams lost his first and only start this season with four runs allowed on eight hits, including two HR, over four innings while striking out four. Hagerstown rallied for two in the bottom of the 8th on a two-out single from Israel Pineda and a two-out double from Kyle Marinconz. Jacob Rhinesmith and Cole Daily both singled twice to lead Hagerstown’s ten-hit parade.

Auburn shut out West Virginia for two innings – the 1st and 7th. In between, the Black Bears savaged Doubledays pitchers for seven runs on 11 hits as they took the series, 7-2 in 7½ innings. Niomar Gomez lost for the fourth time, with six runs let in on eight hits and three walks over four and 2/3rds. He struck out five. Anthony Perion doubled, walked, and singled while Wilmer Perez went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Doubledays offense.
