The Grizzlies overcame a 6-1 deficit to tie it at 6-6 after eight, but the Sounds got two in the 9th and that was the ballgame, 8-6. Scott Copeland reverted to the mean with his 12th non-quality start in 15 tries, giving up the first six Nashville runs on six hits (one HR) and four walks while fanning six. After three scoreless from Joan Baez and Justin Miller, Dakota Bacus was knocked for the decisive runs in the 9th on two hits and a walk for his fifth loss. Drew Ward singled three times when he didn’t strike out (nos. 15 and 16 in 9G at AAA) to push his modest hit streak to five while Carter Kieboom hit HR #16 and notched his 22nd double while plating two to lead the 14-hit Fresno parade.

Harrisburg blew a 3-0 lead after six but jumped on the first Binghamton reliever for a run in the 8th and held on a for a 4-3 win to take the series, 2-1. Kyle McGowin kept his arm warm for six shutout innings, allowing three hits and two walks while setting down four on strikes. Jhonatan German was stampeded for all three Rumble Ponies runs on four hits in his single inning thrown. Thanks to Nick Banks’s RBI single following a one-out double by Tres Barrera, German got his first AA win. Andrew Istler set the side down in order for the hold while Aaron Barrett cordero’d through the 9th (one hit, one walk, two K’s) for save no. 26. Banks and Dante Bichette both went 2-for-4 while Luis Garcia hit HR #2 to power the Sens offense.

Nick Raquet won his fourth straight start to lead the P-Nats past the Keys, 8-2, win the series, 2-1, and wrap up a 5-1 road trip. The 23-y.o. Pennsylvanian gave up both Frederick runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three for his ninth win and seventh quality start (all since June). Gabe Klobosits followed with two scoreless to hold a 3-2 lead as the offense broke out for five runs in the final two innings. K.J. Harrison, Jakson Reetz, and Omar Meregildo each went deep and combined for five hits, four runs, and six RBI.

Reid Schaller struck out eight over five innings while letting in the sole Legends run on three hits and a walk to win his second game. Nick Wells walked one and struck out two in his Sally Lg. debut to earn the hold. Chris “Chevy” Vann stranded those two baserunners while getting out of the 7th and finished the game for his second save. Israel Pineda singled three times while Trey Vickers drove in two while going 2-for-4 with a homer to power the Suns offense.

The loss went to “Nuke” Turner, who walked two, struck out two, and gave up two runs on two hits over… wait for it…. two innings. Jake Randa singled twice and drove in a run while Jeremy Ydens hit a two-run homer for his first professional HR (well, since he left UCLA) to lead the Auburn offense.
