Sacramento 8 Fresno 6
• Ondrusek 6IP, 5H, 4R, 3ER, BB, 3K, HR
• Self (L, 4-2) 1⅔ IP, 6H, 4R, 3ER, 0BB, 1K, 2HR
• C. Kieboom 3-5, R, RBI
• Snyder 3-5, R, RBI
• Gushue 3-4, R, 2B, BB, HR, RBI

Hits came aplenty, but runs not so much as the Grizzlies could only squeeze six runs out of 15 hits and three walks in an 8-6 extra-innings loss to the River Cats. Derek Self coughing up four in the top of 10th didn’t help. Logan Ondrusek went the first six and gave up the other four runs on five hits and a walk while fanning three. Matt Reynolds, José “Orange” Marmolejos, and Taylor Gushue all homered but only Gushue did so with a runner on, leading off the bottom of the 10th. Fresno left on 12 while going 3-for-12 with RISP.
Roster moves: RHP Kyle McGowin optioned from Washington; RHP Justin Miller reassigned for MLB Rehab; OF Collin Cowgill, C Matt Reistetter activated from 7-Day I.L.

Harrisburg 8 New Hampshire 3 (8 inn.) – GAME ONE
• Mapes 6IP, 3H, 2R, 0ER, BB, 3K
• Mills (W, 2-1) 1IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Garcia 2-3, 2R, BB, HR, RBI
• Bichette 2-4, 2B, 2RBI
• Ward 0-2, R, 2BB

Unlike their brethren on the Left Coast, it was Harrisburg that exploded in extras, piling on six in the 8th to turn a 2-2 tie into an 8-2 laugher. Tyler Mapes turned in his fourth quality start with two runs let in on three hits and one walk while striking out three. He was rewarded with a no-decision. The “W” went to Jordan Mills, who struck out the side in the 7th while giving up a hit. Luis Garcia hit his first AA homer and scored two tuns while Dante Bichette Jr. singled, doubled, and drove in tow to lead the Sens offense.

Harrisburg 8 New Hampshire 2 – GAME TWO
• M. Sanchez (W, 8-3) 5IP, 7H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 4K, HR
• Barraclough 2IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Sagdal 3-4, 3R, 2-2B, 2RBI
• Barrera 2-4, 2R, 2B, HR, RBI
• S. Kieboom 2-4, 2RBI

Harrisburg kept it going in the nightcap, scoring four in the 1st and two in the 3rd to take a 6-1 lead as they cruised to a doubleheader sweep with an 8-2 win. Mario Sanchez picked up his eighth win with five innings of two-run ball on seven hits and two walks while fanning four. Kyle Barraclough struck out three and gave up a hit over the last two innings to preserve the six-run lead. Ian Sagdal led the 13-hit parade with a single and a double and drove in two, as did Carter’s big brother with two singles.
Roster moves: LHP Jonny Venters assigned from Washington for MLB Rehab; It would appear that he already hurt himself again during warmups.

Wilmington 2 Potomac 2 – SUSP.

• F. Peguero 1IP, 0H, 0R, 3K
• Masters 1-3, R, 2B
• Harrison 1-3, R, HR, RBI

Rain suspended game number 38 (give or take) between the Blue Rocks and the P-Nats. Wilmington’s second error on sacrifice attempt in the top of the 7th tied the game at 2-2 and took Malvin Peña off the hook for the loss. This morning they’ll play this to the finish, then play a nine-inning game.

Rome 5 Hagerstown 4
• Alastre 6IP, 4H, 3R, 3ER, 3BB, 5K, HBP
• Vann (L, 2-2) 1⅔ IP, 3H, 2R, 1ER, 1BB, 0K, HBP, 1-0 IR-S
• Rhinesmith 4-5, 2R, 2-2B, BB, RBI
• Daily 3-4, BB

Hagerstown scored in each of the last three innings of regulation to force extras, and did it again in the 10th, but Rome answered with two to take the opener, 5-4. Tomas Alastre pitched six full innings for the third time in 19 starts and allowed the first three Barves runs on four hits and three walks while setting down five on strikes. The loss went to Chris “Chevy” Vann, who stranded a runner while getting the last out in the 8th, pitched around a single in the 9th to preserve the tie, but issued a leadoff walk and back-to-back one-out singles in the 10th.
