Fresno barely avoided being shut out as Tacoma drew even in the series with an 8-1 win. J.J. Hoover gave up four runs on eight hits, including his 12th HR, over five innings for his second loss. AA replacements Joan Baez and James Bourque both gave up two runs in the 6th and 7th innings to round out the Rainiers scoring. Colin Cowgill singled with two outs in the 6th to break up the perfect game while Jake Noll hit his 8th HR in the 8th to end the shutout. Those were the only two Grizzlies hits.

The BaySox struck for six in the 2nd and added single runs in the 3rd and 4th and held off the Senators for an 8-5 win. Steven Fuentes lost for the fourth time in five starts as he was sliced for seven runs on ten hits and three walks over two and 2/3rds innings. Brady Dragmire escaped a bases-loaded jam in the 3rd and gave up a HR in the 4th but then added two goose eggs, as did Taylor Guilbeau. Luis Garcia collected three singles, Michael Taylor walked twice and scored twice, and Tres Barrera drove in two to lead the Harrisburg offense.
Wilmington 6 Potomac 2 – GAME ONE

Potomac never led in this one as they dug their own grave with multiple errors and misplays in a 6-2 loss. Carson Teel gave up five hits and two walks and struck out five over five innings, but also had to work around two errors and two misplays. He was charged with four runs, three earned while losing his second game. Nick Banks broke up the perfect game with a double to lead off the 4th while Gage Canning did likewise and came around to score on a ground out and a wild pitch. Omar Meregildo led off the 6th with a HR to complete the P-Nats scoring.
Wilmington 2 Potomac 1 – GAME TWO

In the nightcap, Potomac’s defense tightened but the offense did not let loose as Wilmington completed the sweep with a 2-1 win. Luis Reyes didn’t issue a walk for this first time this season as a starter but lost for the third time, fifth overall, as he let in both Blue Rocks runs on four hits over four innings. He struck out six. Hayden Howard tossed three scoreless to keep things close, but three hits and two walks weren’t enough as the lone run came in on back-to-back errors in the 7th.

The offensive blackout seen in California and Virginia extended to Western Maryland in as the Suns lost to the Shorebirds, 4-2. Jake Irvin went six innings and gave up three on seven hits for the quality start but lost for the sixth time. He walked none and fanned three. O.T. Turner got four on strikes but also let in the fourth run over the final two frames. Rafael Bautista went 2-for-5 with an RBI while Cole Daily singled and walked to pace the five-hit, four-walk barrage.

The outage turned north from Maryland and settled in Central New York with a 4-1 Doubledays loss to the Muckdogs. Pedro Gonzalez nearly halved his ERA while doubling his IP total but the still lost for the fourth time in four starts. The 18-y.o. Panamanian gave up two runs (one earned) on six hits but did not issue a walk and got a strikeout over four innings. Evan Lee picked up the slack and cooled down the infield with six whiffs in three innings, but also gave up a run. Despite three MiLB rehabs (see below), the Doubledays managed just five hits and could not take advantage of five walks, going 0-for-3 with RISP and leaving on eight.
