The Grizzlies jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two and withstood four-run 4th to come out on top, 7-4. J.J. Hoover gave up three runs on the longball and four runs total on six hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out eight while earning his third win. Scott Copeland, Henderson Alvarez3, and Dakota Bacus each put up a goose egg to earn his second and third holds and fifth save respectively. Carter Kieboom came off the bench to go for 2-for-4 with an RBI while José Marmolejos extended his hit streak to 15 games with a single, double, and an RBI.
Roster moves: Apparently, Braymer’s reassignment was misreported on MiLB.com as he’s now listed as tonight’s starter for Fresno.

It seems like the month of June was one step up and two steps back as Harrisburg lost again, 4-2 to lose its fifth straight series, 3-1. Steven Fuentes had a quality start, giving up three runs on five hits over six hits but lost for the third time. He walked none and fanned four. Tres Barrera was the Sens offense as he connected for a two-out, two-run HR, his fifth, to score Ian Sagdal. Sagdal’s single broke up a prefect game through three and 2/3rds. Harrisburg would only notch only two more baserunners, a single by Adrián Sanchez in the 6th and Sagdal’s second safety with two out in the 9th.

Aldrem Corredor drove in five, including a three-run shot to highlight-a five-run 9th as the P-Nats filleted the Mudcats, 9-1 in the series finale to prevent a four-game sweep. Malvin Peña let in the Carolina run on four hits and one walk but came away with a no-decision. That went to Carson Teel, who was prefect for two innings and struck out three while tossing just 23 pitches. Cole Freeman was the beer man in Potomac’s 15-hit parade led by Corredor with four, followed Nick Banks (two doubles), Telmito Agustin (two singles), and Alex Dunlap (one of each).

Delmarva went ahead and made their Day as they dropped five runs on Chandler to turn a 3-2 deficit into a 7-3 win that took the series from Hagerstown, 3-1. The meltdown took away a possible win from Jake Irvin, who went the first five and tied his season-high of eight whiffs while giving up a run on four hits and three walks over five innings. Cody Wilson and Gilbert Lara each had two hits and an RBI but the Suns left on 12 and were just 3-for-13 with RISP.

The Doubledays racked up five extra-base hits and ten total as they bounced back from Saturday’s loss to take the rubber match, 7-2. Carlos Romero hit his allotment of pitches with two out in the 3rd. Adrian Martinez gave up an unearned run on two hits and two walks while fanning three and was credited with the win. Rafael Bautista singled three times, stole two bags, and scored twice while driving in a run to lead the Auburn offense.

Wet grounds called off Sunday’s mid-morning matinee to force a doubleheader on Friday, the second this week (weather permitting).
